Well after the trouble I had hacking mine, I am 100% confident that I could do it again without the issues i had. It's really simple once you have the right tools for it. My soldering iron was just too damn big for that type of precise work.

From reading and following the race thead a LITH they tend to run 2wd buggy, 2wd SCR, and 4wd SCT both mod and stock in those classes. They do run other classes if they have enough show up to race. TimeWarp RC Outdoor Offroad, HobbyTown USA Lake in the Hills - R/C Tech Forums If any of you are heading up that way next Saturday 9/11/12 unless my work schedule is changed I will probably head up that way for some 2wd buggy tuning, and some 2WD SCT tuining Last edited by WarTrader; 08-01-2012 at 01:30 PM. |

Well, I'm at the track on a raceday any nobody's here. 1 guy just working on his truck doing a test & tune and a few people in the store. I spoke to the owner (nice guy) and he says that it's hit or miss.. Last saturday there was 10 drivers on the track and it was a ball he said. Other days.. Nothing. He's seriously considering changing race days from WED, FRI & SAT to only Fridays to draw a larger crowd or atleast gather them all together on the only day of racing. It's going to cost $500 atleast to be competitive in a stock sct class. Basically, stock means you can do anything you want to the truck.. Anything except you have to run 2s hardcase lipo and your limited to 17.5 BL or you can run brushed. The SC10 RS Brushless, Slash 2WD VXL, etc.. Out of the box are too fast for stock class and need to be de-tuned. But, you can put together a sick ass Factory Team SC10 carbon fiber & aluminum everything as long as it meets the motor & battery requirments. That sounds good and all but, I'm going to wait a while to see how it goes before I put a track specific truck together. In conclusion, no racing for me for now.. Maybe someday. I'm still going to have fun at the track for practice here and there. Last edited by Die-Laughing; 08-01-2012 at 06:34 PM. |

Rick, depending on what class you want to run, it can easily get higher than that. The most fun on the indoor track to me is thev2WD Buggy. I had a RC10B4 FT. I would recommend a RC10B4.1 FT Worlds Car Kit. The Novak Spec system with the 18.5 is a great system. Just go with a real fast Savox Servo. Other than that 4WD SCT is hot. The Losi TEN-SCTE is a great truck as is the SC10 4X4 FT kit. |

| Re: NIRC. Chit Chat Yep, absolutely the fastest thing you will ever run indoors. There are a lot of choices too, I just prefer the RC10 FT. The Koyosha Ultima RB6 and the Losi 22 are great choices. If you can find one, The Schumacher Cougar SVR is a great buggy. If I was going to race 4WD buggies, the Schumacher Cat is the way I would go.

4wheel buggy was my favorite, but it was never a big draw. So it was mod 2wd buggy for me. My last big race was was the 02 Chi Town shoot out. Talk about nerves.

I liked racing my LOSI 2wd stock SCT & LOSI 4x4 SCT on the indoor track. Hard to adjust to the differince in speed. Talking about speed, took my JET boat back to the lake and talking about slow and getting kind of boared i decided to go home and low and behold my NEW toy was waiting for me! Can not wait to get to the lake tomorrow! Hay Neil we need to get together. |

| I've read up on this quite a bit. The main problem with the slash is its higher center of gravity. There are low center of gravity chassis kits that are cool as hell but count on spending $200 on them. They can be as competitive as the next truck and then some but at that point there isn't much slash left in the truck. The team RCE carbon fiber chassis is a work of art. Not gonna lie, I want one but after my horrendous driving on Sunday I doubt the chassis would help me much. I will say this though, my awful driving Sunday was a friggin riot!!! I've got the bug big time.
