Btw, Rick/Trey, where are they wanting the transponder mounted? I was just going to put it on the front shock tower.

I think that'll be fine. I haven't mounted mine yet but, just planned on using velcro so I could switch it between vehicles easy. Trey said they have a little clip mount for them as well. Also, I heard them talking about not putting it near antenna wires or on aluminum or carbon fiber but, I don't think the latter of the two is a big issue because everything is carbon fiber & aluminum these days.

I'm just going to mount mine (when it gets here) where it fits best and if it doesnt get picked up, i'll move it.

best to mount it as close to the front as possible for those possible photo-finishes.

I won't have enough cash on hand.

Susan really wants me to sell the wrx if I get a truck.
I told her, just like my rc's, I need a rig for every occasion!

If I did sell the wrx I could get
a 4x4
an old sports car
and a dirt bike.

I want a bike. Well a dirt bike, but also a road bike.

I have the sports car... could use a rough and tumble 4x4 though.

exactly.

Hoopty, I broke out my scale points... no go delete your post so we can keep it tidy!

EDIT: Some of my points are not actually done yet! Like Melons winch.
If they're not done by TTC day, I'll subtract them.

quick fix, throw some fuel tubing on the shock shafts.

I'm thinking about trying to figure out how to narrow some of those aluminum VP ax10 axle housings. Hmmm.

Maybe a cut & weld jobber. Offset pumpkin front.. Shorten axle shafts, mill new flats..

Its that or K44's. Both are gonna be in the $300 range probably.

yeah, but there's something wrong in the geometry... 90 degrees is a shit load of flex for people that are trying to do it.

oldschool tlt axles are narrow. build them with the rcp mip shafts and diff gears and they are bulletproof.

i got a trex60 lot if you are interested. the alum axles i pulled off of lemonade and then some plastic cased trex60's that arent worth a shit... xvd's, steel diff gears, should be pert near bulletproof for a class1. not quite as wide as a axial axle but close iirc.

Thanks but, they are only 1/4" narrower than axials.. I'd have to narrow them. The K44's are over 5/8" narrower than axials and the look great on the wranglers.

Scx10 axles look like ar60's under those trucks.
