I was thinking that Chuck and I would run at Foster from 12:30 till 1:30ish then head back to my house and light the grills.

Then DL, Hoopty and Zero can come over around 3.

We'll eat at 4 because Chuck has to leave around 5.
I'd probably be there around 2ish if not a bit earlier. I'll just text you and see where you are at.

I hope my C1 build is EPIC to justify the costs. Well, its not like I haven't been in this boat before.

You really think people will want 1.7 wheels to run axial axles in a narrow width configuration? Maybe I'll make them extra cool then.
Trey gets away with axial axles under his C1 truck.. Trey, do you or did you have any desire to have a more narrow setup? There are a lot of people running axials. I thought it was just me and a handful of others that would prefer a narrow axle on certain builds. I dont really see it as a highly desirable part.

Johnny, I'll talk to her tonight. I'm not bringing R/C's if we come.
Hell yes, I will take 2 sets with spares.

Those of ou using the RC4WD scale hubs should check out this idea. You will have to register but if your a scaler, great source for ideas anyway.

Is that too fast pf a motor for a scaler?
The Summit low is way lower than an Axial trans and the high is a little faster than Axial.

Jonny to give you an idea the 4x4 I was running at the track has a 3300kv Pro4 and I was rarely going more than about 2/3 throttle.... I know gearing will be quite different but just to give you a point of referance. Myself i would like to have a 4600KV. Look at it this way you can alway throw in some torque control and lower your throttles EPA, to reign in a motor that is too much, but too slow is too slow.

the guy actually had the 4000 and 4600, I took the 4000. figured it'd be better in the scaler.

I actually would like a 4600kv pro 4. They tend to over heat in a SCTE but mine weighs in round 1/2lb less than stock and I wouldn't be pushing the gearing to the brink.

I would be very very hesitant to run one in any real water unless you can afford to replace it. This is one of the biggest reason the MMP and Pro 4 got pulled outta my scaler. I treated both with corrosion X but I'd be sick to be out 300.00 plus running through a mud puddle LOL...

i've run my pro4/rspro underwater.

ive literally had my waterproofing balloon fill up full of water and have ran it all day like that without knowing. esc, rx, and bec all completely encased in water for an entire day.

conformal coating ftw.

edit - but for 15 bucks to have somebody else do it is awesome.

Yes, but with the 4x4 you had a 1:1 center diff. The Summit gearbox will have its own ratio, which combined with the axle diffs, will also reduce the speed of the vehicle as it'll be a much lower ratio. So I think the 4400 might be quite good.

Well, I'm not gonna be able to make it although jen said she would go but, now that I can't make it, shes not going. Lol.. Got all that?
My buddy is coming over saturday to help me wire up my megasquirt on my hotrod pickup. I gotta take the help when I can get it cause I don't want to try to figure out how to wire up the megasquirt myself.

I'm pretty sure my wife is going. I don't think they talked much last time. She has a little fun driving my scaler. Hard thing for a girl to be much interested in Rc at all.
