So, do you think I should just run no BEC with the FXR on 2s until I can get ahold of the CC BEC 25a?

Edit: I only have front steer.
I have 1/2 dz 10A BECs running with no troubles, but I have heard the same thing Jason said from a couple others. If you have one, run it.

I have been running them for some time and have owned quite a few CC BEC with no problems. I sometimes wonder if people don't just ask too much of them and kill them ....

Look and see if you can find what the draw is under load. That should give you a ballpark.

My plan for my new project is to pull the 7980 I have in the front of mine now and make it my rear steer servo. I'm going to move my brushless set up in that truck. Ill set my MMP internal BEC to 6v. That will give me close simular torqe as the front servo (7950 w/ CCBEC on 7.0V). I put a lot of thought into it because I will also be running a Hitec 645 servo winch that has a 6V limit. This set up I'm hoping will minimize the wiring, give me a servo in the rear that can handle the torque of my brushless system. Maybe a simular set up will work for you? Hope that helps.

What did you get Johnny?

I just spent all night working on my rig.. Got the sheet metal work all done including the qaurter panels, boat sides and bed floor. I ended up Mig welding the qaurter panels on and the boat sides & bed floor will be bolted down.
I mocked it all up, drilled the holes and primer/painted everything!

You ever get the feeling your going to want to weld/fab or change something after paint and your going to have to do it all over again? Yea, I got that feeling.

It'll have to do for now!

A MIP Summit CVD (x2) kit and another Axial drive shaft kit.
I was going to just get the single parts I needed but it works out to be about the same and I'll have backup parts.

Im hoping to have it out sunday... I'll be cutting it close though. It may be the maiden voyage.

The paint is drying over night, Then tomorrow morning I'm gonna put it all back together and hopefully get together with Neil as well.. he's nice enough to help me set up my BEC voltage and adjust my Low Voltage Cutoff on my FXR.

My honcho is all in pieces as well but, I dont have time to even touch it with the amount of work I have on the C3 rig.. If its not done, I'm coming anyways and bringing the RC8E!

Edit: Here's a picture of the quarter panels on and bed floor installed. Its hard to believe that it was at this stage a few hours ago and may be in the dirt on sunday.

I know a super cool trick for max shafts. I'll show you next time I see you.

10:30 sounds good to me. The girl and the dog might come again.

I'm putting 50w shock oil in to try to eliminate some torque twist now.

I'm still dealing with some funky steering issues.. for some reason my servo seems weak. Its supposed to have 361oz @ 7.4v, Neil and I set it up for 7.0v.
It turns fine when the tires are off the ground but when the truck is on the pavement the tires don't want to turn very well. Even when rolling. They turn better in reverse though.

I have one more trick up my sleeve but, I'm not sure if its going to work. I'm going to take the horn off and try it in a few different positions and see what happens. Maybe its positioned at a weak spot in the motor? Do servos have weak spots? We'll see.

I may be having to make a lot of 12 point turns tomorrow.
