Ha no, he was pretty silly looking. He was wearing shorts and a jean jacket. His black hair was combed straight back with lots of gel in it. He was talking on the phone very loudly for a while...and I'd just had a shot of tequila. That stuff messes with me!

Just got done looking at a house in Channahon il. Great location, I really like the house and it's on 2.19 acres!!!!! It sits back from the road, nice private feel and the deck has stairs leading down to the woods in the back. Putting in an offer tomorrow, hope they take it!!

Ok, I might be crazy... But what do you guys think about running a stock summit motor directly to an axial trans with out any pinions? I mean motor shaft directly to the top shaft on the trans. Does the trans have enough gear reduction in it? Summit motor is big, brushed, so it should be able to go slow right?

you give up anywhere from like 5:1 to 3:1 (total guestimate...) from eliminating the spur/pinion.

id think about maybe a planetary reduction that mounts inline with the motor to get that reduction back. rc4wd makes them but the gears are not gonna hold up like one from mpjet or maybe graupner. rc4wd's are certainly cheap enough to where i wouldnt feel bad testing ratios with them so you know what ratio mpjet to buy.

this is a mpjet/ttr/stealth combo. its beef (and sounds killer), but its also a recipe for disaster for your axles and driveshafts. and its way too slow, its pretty much 28:1, which is like a 280t spur with a 10t pinion.

if i could rebuild this truck i would simplify with the mpjet straight to an axial trans. then the planetary is just replacing the ratio the spur/pinion would have had in a stock setup.

i have never laughed harder than i have watching tpb. you gotta spend some time with it the first couple seasons... but after that hold on.

"going off the rails on a swazey train" and "high definition piss jugs" changed my life.

Here's a link to the Axial Recon G6 in July if anyone is interested. This is the real deal. Parker with Recon G6 is coming up to help put this on. The place we went today puts everything I've seen in Chicagoland to shame...I can only imagine how Niagara Falls will be.

What truck is that in?

I think I'll just put my 45t Tekin in for the cliffs, but I def want to figure a way to put the summit motor in it.
