So stick with a 2s until I want to take it apart again ? I'm getting tired of working on it and just want to be done with it for awhile.

That is what most of us are doing, running on 3S. Actually if you look at the numbers, you are probably geared at tad low on 2S anyways.

From Script Asylum (R/C Calculations) here is my output of a Wraith on Axial tranny, 56t spur, and IROK tires.

Differential Ratio: 2.923076923076923
Transmission Ratio: 2.6
Other Ratio: 1
Spur Tooth Count: 56

Total Voltage: 11.1
Motor KV: 3300
Tire Diameter (inches): 5.75
Tire Ballooning (inches): 0
Motor Current Draw: 0
Motor Coil Resistance: 0
Spur/Pinion Ratio: 4.67 : 1
Total Ratio: 35.46667 : 1
Tire Circumference (inches): 18.06 inches (458.83 mm)
Rollout: 0.51:1
Total Motor Speed: 36630 RPM
Vehicle Speed: 17.67 mph (28.38 km/h)
Effective KV Value: 3300
KT constant: 0.41 oz-in/A

I have an inside source, a customer/guy I know from PA.. He lives 30min from the spot we'll be at in a couple weeks & he comps there sometimes. He called & gave me all the hot tips for that spot but, everything he said is stuff we already do/know so, there really isnt anything worth repeating. I guess we're ahead of the curve here at NIRC.

Ok, to sum it up.. he said run big power, shorter wheelbases work a little better, run at least 2200mah packs, pitbulls iroks & tsl's work best, lots of water but not sure if we'll be under it.. Might be alternate routes to stay somewhat dry.. slippery mossy rocks..

I think we're ready!

So if I run 3s with my current gearing will I have issues with heat. I'm running a hard case 5000 2s now and want to buy a smaller lighter battery for comps.

Well, I'm officially trailer trash. I bought a pop-up! Looks like I'll be camping more often. I reserved & paid for a "full hookup" site in PA. I just have to plate it and I'll be set!

I'll cancel the hotel, save just under $300 on that. The spot in PA was $64 for the weekend. I mean, I guess I thought I'd rather put my money into something of value.. The money I spent on this is still there, just in the form of a pop-up. I could always sell it.. Ya know? This would make a hell of a r/c pit spot at the cliffs or where ever.. I could park it at papa murphs or anywhere else I go camping.

Air conditioning, propane 2 burner cooktop that mounts inside or outside, sink w/ water hookup, two queen beds, one optional double size bed, pull out awning, table & counter space, storage space, new wheels/tires.. Paid $1200 for it.. the guy was asking $1500. not too expensive, not ridiculously cheap.. either way..I'm excited!

Hard to beat a pop up. I have had 3, everything from a tiny 6 foot box to a big ass Coleman 18 footer with double kings, dinette and u shaped couch. Then I went up to a Travel Trailer, 27 foot. Loved it and truly miss it. Finally was the 29 foot Class "C" motor home. Not really a fan of motor home living but nice to travel with.

Idk Rick... I think the pop up would have blown over if it was at Papa Murph's with us last time! Lol

Johnny, Adam, Chris, wasn't it bad?!? Well, my tent blew over anyway...

So awhile back Johnny was taking about breaking sensor wires I thought how is he breaking sensor wires. As I was putting my esc in its water proof container I broke mine. I'm not pleased and tired of my wraith
