I will mess with them tomorrow. Thanks.

Do you have 2 long mip wraith hubs and 2 regular length?
I think that's the "wraith" combo... if so, get 2 more long hubs.

Ill check the lengths tomorrow. From what i remember, they all look the same length(male and female end) but to be honest, i havent payed to much attention to the MIP shafts. I assume they are the MIP's for a Wraith.

The male and female shafts are the same.
The hubs are longer for the Wraith.

By hub you mean coming out of the transmission, or the end of the driveshaft that mounts on the output of the transmission?

Any idea how long they should be?

From what i can see, they look the same as the ax10/scx10 MIP's i used to run.

hes talking about the yoke. the wraith mips have the tranny side yokes extended about 1/4" or so.

im running around a 13" wb on my pink wraith with ax10 mips and there isnt any issue with not having enough spine.

...if you are running a scx trans with a wraith wb i can see how the shafts could be too short.

Im running a wraith trans, scx10 MIP's, wraith links. I get 12" wheel base.

I just looked at the yokes on my MIP's johnny, they are not the 5mm extended ones. I compared a pic i found online to what i have.

On my last c3 rig i ran a scx trans, scx10 MIP's, AR60's, straight Wraith lower links, bent wraith uppers. I did have drive shaft issues on that too now that i think about it. Im gonna try flipping the tranny/skid around tomorrow after work, and messing with the links. See what happens.

That's because everyone up here is a year behind in all the latest equipment and hop ups. My rig is light years ahead...and being baller doesn't hurt either. The group this weekend was a little more advanced. That still doesn't explain why I sucked ass so much though.

Solid output shafts are less prone to breakage. I had a non-solid output shaft break on me in the Clod on my first run of the 2nd day.

If I hadn't had issues with two 'repairs' in C2 and a sub-par judge on one run, which seemed from my vantage point to be the only one of the many good judging I witnessed, I think I could have done a bit better than 20.

Johnny and Jason did great in 4th and 6th... would have been great to see them on the podium. Those two definitely put NIRC on the map!

So I woke up today and one of my dachshunds could not walk and has no movement of her rear legs. We found out she has a ruptured disk in her back and will not re-gain function of her rear legs. Now the poor little dog has to have a doggie wheel chair she's in no pain from it but it's sad she's only 3 years old.

Sorry Todd. Hope it works out. She'll still be livin' it up like a good dog!

I had a blast out there in PA. My first big event like that. I couldn't be happier with how my rig performed. Have a few improvements/upgrades in mind but, other than that, It's my driving that put me where I was in the standings. Just gotta keep practicing.

NIRC really took it home this weekend.. We gotta be the most winningest club at the event. Hell yeah.

Thanks to ya'll who represented GripFab. You's the shit.

We'll be even better in 2014!
