Man... so talk about a DOH moment. Got the axles all pulled apart, greased up, bearings changed, etc., then got them all mounted. And what?! I realized the XR10 mod SCX10 axles are too wide in front for the Clod body to run as Class 2!



And here I was gonna be cool and run a staggered setup; wider xr10 in front, with the shorter xr10 rears.

I picked up a Vaterra Ascender. I have an idea on a part I might want to make that would compliment the K5 Blazer body and I think I'm going to take my chassis building in the direction of a bolt-on design. I think I'll turn that YJ I'm building into a Ascender bolt-on affair.

Also, I picked up a decent sized welding side job. I'm blessed to be able to pick up a side job like this given my skill level as a welder. I think my welds look alright but, the best part is that I don't have to worry about that because I'm grinding them smooth as well.

It's a stainless "body" with a stainless square tube. I have to weld the tube to the body and also weld an end cap on the tube then grind them smooth on both ends. 240 times!

Here's one I did.. Welded then smoothed..

Well, I wouldn't go as far as to say that. It is well enough equipped for me to call it my shop though.
