Default Spare Parts Build

So I have a ton of spare parts from the AX10/SCX10/Wraith, i.e. I have a gatekeeper chassis, AX10 axles (with Axial aluminum chubs, knuckles, universal driveshaft, gunner toobs), wraith driveshafts, wraith shocks, AX10 tranny, not to mention a Sidewinder SV2 (if it works, thats questionable). And I've been pondering what to do with them!

So I looked over the FOFF stuff, looks cool, but I'm not 100% sure I want to buy another chassis (although if it was 185, that DMG killa chassis looks damn cool). So I got to poking around a bit, and was thinking of maybe doing a 'monster truck out of it'. Would plan to do up the wheelbase so I could use the Traxxas Stampede MonterJam truck bodies with it. Toss on some of those big wheels, since they are 12mm hexes, could be rather fun (and insane).

Bjoe and I both have WK based monsters we built. Go over to RCMT.net and check out some of the builds. A couple of us did some "just for fun" racing last spring, its a blast running over crush cars with an rc truck.

Yeah I've thought something like that, i.e. maybe 5 lap drag-style shootouts over cars, etc. would be a lot of fun.

Dig it out. I'm heading to a Clod race this Saturday down near Springfield.
Also iHobby is moving to Cleveland next year and there will be a huge straight axle monter truck race there. Expect 150+ Clods to show up. This is in October 1 week after the NR/CTPA world championships (truck pulling and Monster racing, also in Ohio)
Not mine but a little teaser:

derby trucks

The only thing is jumping with the locked diff... after running the F'n Bastard all week, I really think they need an open front diff and slipper if you want to seriously jump it.

I'm slowly building mine from mostly extra, used and salvaged pieces. I've gotten a little furher on it since this was taken though.

Also just joined RCTMT.net under the screen name BJoeHandley as of last night.

Thats just a Savage body right? Mmms, hadn't thought about it, but I do have a GTO body (and a 10th scale bug body too) that I could toss onto the thing too. Probably fit better than on a Savage since the body wheelbase is much shorter than the Savage's.

That Goat body should fit nicely, but that King is at 13" so it might be around the same wb if not a hair longer. I want to say it's wb is almost as long as my E-Revo's!
