Any body near DeKalb, NIU?
 

Hey my name is shane and im going to school out at NIU and I just thought I would post up here and see if there is anyone else out this way?

Also does anyone know any good places to take a scaler out around here? I was thinking maybe Rock cut state park over in Rockford but I have never been there and dont know if they have rules against R/C.

I live about 30-45 minutes east of there in West Chicago.

Rock Cut is a nice place for Scalers. I end up in Rockford a few times a year, keep saying Im going to convince Mnster to come back out up there.

Ok thanks a lot. Yeah BJoe I think I met you at hobbytown before and jetboat are there any trails in Rock Cut that you recommend? Once again I have never been there so if trails aren't marked then I will just wander around and find something :)

Hey Bobo, do you drive?
We often meet up in Roselle which is a straight shot down 90 from Rockford.
Google maps says it's an hour and 20 mins.
All of us in Chicago drive about that to get there "thumbsup"

It's a lot of fun with the scalers!
