Default from Albuquerque to peoria

Hey guys, I currently live in Albuquerque nm and I may be moving to peoria. How is the scaleing scene in that area? I did live in bartonville when I was young, but that was long before RC crawling was around. Im asking so I know if I unload my scalers for moving money or I keep them cause there's a group to wheel with. Thanks for your help.......Rick

There is a good club in Kankakee. And I am trying to find interested people in ford county. Might be trying to put a small event together for the completion of my course. Paxton is a bit of a hike from Peoria though. Welcome to IL bud.

Thank you very much. Like I said, I lived there when I was young but I come from a big family and they are all still there. How far is kanakee from peoria? I dont mind driving a little as long as its scale, im not into the comp rigs at all.

how far are you willing to drive? A couple hrs north is SCRC (Mainly comp with some scale events) and NIRC (all scale). In Bloomington there are a few SCRC guys with scalers and there are a few guys near Peoria that comp and scale.

An hour or so for just a basic scale run. 3 for a good scale comp. I 1:1 desert race and our team races mostly in las vegas nv. Which is 9hrs and to us thats just part of the fun. Although we have raced the baja 1000 which was 18hrs just to get to Ensenada, then strap your self into a buggy for another 10 or so hrs until the next driver swap
