Default Looking for spots to run

Recently got into crawling and it has consumed my rc addiction thanks to BJoe haha.

Was looking for some fun areas to run. Been running my Bomber a lot in Batavia across the street from the Windmill.

Check out the Sticky at the top of the page, there's maps for some decent spots.

You might also check with Talmond, he's up in Rockford, and they usually get a bunch of guys together for gtg's and comps.

There's also Raceway Woods in Carpentersville, used to be Meadowdale International Raceway, now it's all Kane County forest preserve, there's access off of Huntley Road, and off of Rt 31. Some guys have found some decent trails and crawl spots there.

I've researched the Raceway Woods some and even looked over the site on Google Earth, didn't notice much, but there are a whole lotta trees that would hide things easily! It looked like it would be a good place to go explore at least.

Thanks a lot Mike I will definitely keep those spots in mind! Here is my two favorite spots that I frequently go too.

This is in Batavia on the river walk. Awesome area with shelfs, valleys, flat, and huge drops. All lime stone and weathered rock.

This a forest preserve that has a lot of bike trails created by bike riders and maintained by bike riders. Huge and steep hills, creeks, flat and shelfed rock. Getting to the fun spots requires walking.

Haven't been to the Riverwalk in a while, but that was always a favorite of mine too, I'd hit the rocks on the Windmill side from time to time too. Still need to go check out the east side of 25 though. Oh, I talked to Ian today too, sounds like he is looking for a Bomber now too!

Yeah gave him all the stock parts from the Bomber build. Hopefully he builds something from it haha.

You got to come out sometime with me to the place by the Windmill. So many awesome spots out there.

River walk was a blast. Suspension is just about damn near perfect now. Just waiting on the hardware Jeremy ordered so I can run my 600 hubs.

He ordered parts for it from me today, so I think he's working on something and towards buying one. I do need to get out there again, been too long.

You can also check out RC Rock Crawl-RC Rock Crawl- as they have a viewable searchable map of crawling locations, clubs and groups
