Chicago based Crawler club.

Dose anyone know of a Chicago based R/C Crawler club. If so could you please list a link or contact info here. I Yahooed and googled several searches and found nothing. I just want to be sure before I start a Local club.

Thanks, Mike

Any updates on this? I live in Elk Grove Village, and I am very interested.

I considered starting up something.... There is Midwest That Mnster is the pres of but, they tend do all their runs in the IOwa/Wis area. It would be nice to have a local presence. I know its not tooo local but I have my large course near champaign that is always open to runs, well in travel distance to Chitown.

HobbyTown USA in Naperville is being kind enough to let us use their facility to hold meetings in their backroom. Also, registered club members will receive a 10% store discount.

Things on the agenda will be:
A name
meet and greet
meeting schedule
possibility of a comp series
Rules discusson (to make sure everyone is aware of comp rules)

Also, bring your truck, the course will be open and it will be a great time to work out those "bugs" you've had or even help you build that new truck.

Until we settle on a name I will send a notice to everyone on the signup list from my personal email to notify them (in case you miss this)

What all is this "meeting" going to consist of?

jetboat 01-21-2008 06:01 AM

It will be a meeting... we will cover items important to forming a club such as sign up and deciding on a club name. After the meeting we will work on rigs and do some crawling

Can't wait. Gives me less than two weeks to get my arse in gear lol... Would help if we didn't have this three day weekend, my stuff would have shipped a day earlier :flipoff:
