Default new to the sport

hey guys
i just wanted to stop in and say hi. i live up in sheridan IN (15min from carmel) i have been wanting to get into rc crawlin for a long time but i have spent way to much time working on my 1.1 tj and wheeing it.

for xmass i asked for a scx10TR and an ax10 and a bunch of parts from my wife. i like scalers since they just seem so real but i want to build a ax10 for hard stuff.

i waned to see what you guys were running i never thought about doing comps or wheel with ppl tell i saw the indiana sec. i was just going to take them to badlands and such when i go wheeling.

the TR will be scale, do you guys comp these?

the ax10
TQ4 dig and rear steer
HH torque master
i cant deside on motor HH 35t hand wound or cheapo 35t inte.
VF dig
rear steer, im not sure if i will do this, i know its not comp leagal but i tink it wouls be cool as hell.
3600MAH 7.2 i will prob go lipo once i get them and have the runnig good
and a bunch of other crap...tires,ccbec,charger...

so what does it take to keep up?
is there anywhere good to wheel on the north side carmel/westfeild?

All you have to have as far as a rig goes is any tpe of crawler, an axial, losi, berg, venom creeper, anything. We are all just a bunch of big kids playing with toys and having a blast. Yes, some of us are better than others and some have nicer trucks but we are all just out to have fun, no one ever cares who wins, we all congradulate each other and we all have fun.

We have a 2.2 comp class and a beginners sportsman class, the sporstman class is limited to shaft driven, 2 wheel steering, and no dig. Kind of an entry level class.

Just come out tomorrow if you want and try it out! Ill have an extra truck to drive if you're interested.

X2 on what these guys said. We have a lot of fun and its easy to get into. There will be a couple extra trucks floating around, so dont hesitate to ask.
