Cool, with R/C's? I have been there several times and had lots of fun every time, but we were riding quads. No matter where you go there will be an idiot or two, so I certainly wouldn't exclude Haspin for that.

I'm down for a big scale get together. We have some really nice areas around where I live also.

Crawling seems pretty slow up here in Michigan also. It would be nice if we could get the Indiana Ohio and Michigan guys and girls togather, and find some place to crawl that is kind of in the middle for everyone. Im not very good at setting this stuff up. Im just putting the idea out there. Set up a comp maybe one or two times a month, depending on the location.

What do you guys think?

I'm all for it! Something where you get to run your truck for a couple hours would be nice.

Im talking about a two or three hour drive.... max for "most" people. I don't want to have to spend the night anywhere. Just some place close enough for everyone, after things get rolling we can figure out what classes are popular and go from there. I think if we find some place that everyone likes and we get a good crowd and we all have fun....word will spread fast.
After watching some of the west cost stuff on youtube and the Team Debead stuff....why can't we do that? Not every comp, but twice a year?

I went to Gravelrama a couple of months ago in western Ohio for a scale comp and we had a very good turnout. It can be done. We just need to pick a suitable location and get the word out. I want very much to have comps, get togethers, and large events such as the ones held out west.

That's the way it used to be. I remember the first comp I went to in 2007, there was 43 people from 5 states and that was a local club comp!!

Anybody for a GTG in Madison,IN ? Clifty Falls State Park

Turn'Nburn and I know where some of the best trails and natural rock formations are in the state if anybody thinks there up for it.

When just us two go we easilly spend 3-4 hous at a time out on the trails/rocks.
With more people it would really be a blast.

It's fun as long as people keep from falling off the trails.

No seriously, we have some awesome stuff around here, a perfect scaler spot really. We will probably be doing a trail run this weekend if anyone is interested, any day just let me know.

Hey, it was only about a 15ft drop and I landed on my feet.

Seriously tho, guys it's a lot of fun. Just dont be the dumb ass I was and put your back towards a big drop off and watch only your rig and not where you put your feet.

Clifty Falls is about an hour and a half from Indy. It's located in Madison on the hilltop. You'll take 65S down to Columbus, take the second Columbus exit and get on St Rd 7. Take St. Rd 7 all the way to Madison. When you hit Clifty Drive in Madison you'll turn rite and Clifty Falls will be about a mile down the road on your left.

We can meet up at Big Lots parking lot and caravan to the park from there. Where St Rd 7 runs into Clifty Dive, Big Lots can be seen from that intersection.

If it's just us, we could hit that wicked creek in Columbus. It's only 45min south from Indy and 40min north from Madison. It is loaded with natural cut-outs, I could spend hours and hours there.

Actually, it's just right outside of Columbus, a little podunk county park called Anderson Falls. I have it saved on my gps. We could meet somewhere to eat then drive there.

Late day at work today. I guess the best we can hope for is a good day next weekend. I don't have a comp crawler any more, or I would be there to comp.
