Actually I'm hoping you'll bring it to the comp on June 23 in Marion. Btw, does it like water? |

I think Nick is bringing me up there too. Don't know if we will make the Fort Wayne date though... Pretty far. As far as liking water... It doesn't! Sunday was the first time out after an electronics rebuild due to cartwheeling into the creek at the first comp I was at! I will figure something out by then! Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2 |

You will NEED to be waterproof for Marion. Even if we have to make the tank trap down in the river, trucks are getting wet!! | |

I should be able to make the next event at Marion. Pretty stoked!!! This will be my first time running my Wraith with anyone but myself. I like racing, but i'm pretty sure i'm going to like this style of competition a lot more. Am I wasting my time coming down there if my rig isn't waterproofed? Got a shit-ton of overtime in June, so I probably won't have a bunch of time to prep anything. It's pretty built up, just not ready to go drinking yet. Also, will an 8000mAh battery last me all day (well over 2hrs run time!!), or should I pack a charger just in case? Thanks and look forward to meeting you all!!! I ran the last comp on two 1300mah lipos with no issues... They usually get me about 40 or so minutes of pretty hard use. That should get you through! By the way, how much water are we talking? Top of the tires? Or top of the roof? Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2 Last edited by smitty808; 05-25-2012 at 06:27 PM. |

Theres a bunch of threads on here about waterproofing. Prolly the cheapest way is to use ballons. Thats prolly what im gonna end up using. Cheap, easy and not permnant. Just put reciver(or what ever) in a ballon and put some silicone in the end before u tie it off. The punch ballons from the dollar store work well, and are thicker and tougher than reg ballons.

Nice... Seriously, I might have to try the balloon thing. Just hate to be wrong and smoke something. |

Did you say you have a radio control that takes batteries or some sort of fuel? Then yes, you are legal! Come and have a good time, don't worry about the tech stuff in this series. We had an EMaxx at the last one til he broke an axle. First prize is a tennis ball cut in half to be used as a gate marker. |

| OK... I'm two screws, and a dab of silicone from having the Redcat water resistant. A couple project boxes from Radio Shack, and some epoxy, and I built a case for all of the electronics. I hope to screw it all back together one night this week, then test it by driving through my girlfriend's fish pond! Sent from my rooted Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2 |

For Saturday, Matter Park in Marion @ 10AM, correct??? Any reason to be there extremely early other than to shoot the breeze and check out other's rigs? I've never been there before. Am I going to have any trouble finding the meeting place? I plan on leaving Auburn at about 8:00AM and I have a little over an hour drive, according to mapquest.

Just added an event to the schedule. It will be at Nick Sipes home in Bedford, IN. We went out there yesterday and had a great time. Perfect location for an event. Nick and his family are very hospitable and I think its a great addition to the schedule. Details are on the first post.
