I don't have to buy any that's for sure. I have two tandem loads just laying at the shop, and that's not counting the monsters that would take the low boy to haul.

MAKKEM and I did some crawling the other day behind our shop at work the other day. Pretty decent for supers. Don't no if 2.2s would work out. Basically big slabs of concrete and rip rap. Maybe a GTG spot some weekend?

Question Crawling on the Landscaping???

I bumped into a cousin of a cousin who is realted to the guy who operates Brinks Speedway in Decorah. He also drives for Bruening Rock Products. Talked with the Kawasaki dealer, both said, most places to crawl around Decorah were flooded. The cuts around Decorah should be unbeliveable, after the runoff. I noticed a huge pile of rocks in the old quarry West of the Hatchery.
Most of your crawling spots around Mason City is landscaping in East Park, or in the nature center. I'm not sure how I feel about crawling on landscaping.

The nature center has loads of crawling oppourtunity, the County Conservation Manager most likely will not tolerate any kind of 4WD small or big. 1:1's were outlawed in the 80's.

What is the WISE thing to do??
Do you ask for permission? Crawl until you get caught...then ask permission?

Has anyone had a problem with people being "DICKY"

Yeah I crawl until they kick me out. Most of the time they see how small they are and leave you alone.

I would say ask first. It kinda puts a bad taste in someones mouth if you just take advantage of something. I hunt and ride quads. It is VERY important for me to ask first to enjoy those hobbies.

The fam and I were out waisting presious gas and stopped at a 'Nature Area' off the Cedar River north of the Lewis Access Bridge. There was a small rock garden by the boat ramp that looked natural. Not real huge but a couple people could burn up some packs there.

The water has reseaded some. Anything dry enough for a Comp or a GTG? Cole, been to the spillway or that park off Hwy 30? Sorry total brain fart on the name of that park starts with a B. Anyone form out of town ever been to Red Rock by Knoxville? That area looks killer for 1:1's. Too bad we live in the Anti Recreation State.

I'm not planning anything outside Mason City until June 20. Went to Red Wing, MN last weekend and there was a lot of cool places there...

Thanks man.
We are right on that line where it starts to get real bad (on the1st floor) The hood jus isn't the same no cars parked on the street no kids in the yards, it's plain weird. The house is comeing together well the only thing left to finish is the bathroom. The garage on the other hand, is trashed and I'm out of money to build another. The flood did some odd stuff to the soil around my place. I have a hump in the front yard and my deck sank about 4" in the ground.
When I was at westdale mall last week I saw there map of where they SAY the water got. It was plain wrong. I am 3 houses from 13th st on H ave. I had water fill the basement and come upto the floor. I was down here and watched the water touch the far side of the curb on 13ths st. The city says the water on H ave only reached in between the 10th and 11th st area. That is a BIG differance in where it actually went.

I found a rockwall here at the tile and drainage shop. I haven't really done any crawling since the flood. I did get time to edit a video of the Midwest 2.2 challenge i'm posting on YouTube today. I am sticking with Decorah as the best suited place to have a meet.

You live one block over from my Grandma. She lives on G a block back from 13th. She had two inches in her main level. Sounds like about the same damage. Her foundation developed some block seperation but it has since settled. Did the city razz you on repairing utilities before they gave permission. Ilten's was at her house doing an estimation and as soon as they left the City was there making sure there was nothing fixed. It could have been a $1000 fine if anything would have been repaired. Nice City, anything to make it more misserable for people. Glad I live in the country. I only have the county to deal with. That's not much of an improvement though.
