How is that spill way anyway? Has the water dropped enough to get out there?

where exactlly is your spot at? I drove down the north side by the boat ramp from the north camp spot and kinda looked around, but you are talking about the spill way so that sounds like on the other side. how do you get there exactly?

Cole can tell you exactly, but if you hike clear across the dam, the crawling spot is just about to the other side.

You go west out of solon on 382 to the south campground. Then fallow the signs to the boat ramp. When you find the boat ramp you will see a HUGE dam in front of you drive to the parking lot ontop. Park there grab all your crawlers and radios and walk all the way to the other side. You will find the best crawling IA has ever seen. That is unless there is water rushing over it. If there is make the drive to coralville res and crawl the fossils.

I'll be working Saturday but may sneak out after noon. Anybody going to be there? I'll see what the boss (wife) has planned for Sunday.

Well found the spot yesterday, water was coming over but still had a few places to play. I could see the potential in some of the waterfalls. How often is the water spilling over? I definitely have to get back up there when it is dry.

I have never crawled there before. The water is always overflowing. I guess it is killer when it's dry.

Hopefully we can get a dry spell and the water will quit pouring over. I would like to get together with some of you other guys. I have had my truck for over a year and have not crawled or seen another crawler. From the video from google it looks like you can crawl some of the waterfalls down at the bottom, is that so? I took the boy out for about a hour saturday morning and had a blast much better than the little course in my yard. If anyone is planning a trip up there before the snow please let me know, I would like to tag along.

Yeah we crawl the water falls when they are dry. The 2 years prior to this one it has just been wet in spring then dry the rest of the year.
Where in IA are you guys?

Half-J let's get-r-done
