cedar rapids

i found a new place to crawl in town today. there is a huge concrete pile and a rocky shore (next to the river) filled with an asortment of rock sizes. im having quite the challenge runing my super on lots of the lines but there should be a little somthing for everyone. It is located next to the ellis park boat ramp (not the boat house ramp). pull in the parking lot and youll see the concrete pile, then walk twords the river and youll find plenty of boulders.

Have fun.....

Do you guys still crawl the spillway at the lake between Cedar Rapids and I-80? I crawled there almost 3 years ago, great place;-)

Bubba if you like that kind of rock to crawl on (rip rap) come to Dubuque the river's edge is all that kind of rock and some bigger. You could spend a long long time there.

Bart bender 03-24-2009 05:28 AM

That off 965 down by the res? That's 380 in the background isn't it?

Bubba73 03-24-2009 05:49 PM

Ya if your heading to the hobby shop on 965 from CR. Once you go under i380 its your first left turn. stop sign go left than to the water. If you come from northliberty you go down 965 twards Cr. You will go past the boats and it's your first right after the marine 218. turn right, stop, left go to the rocks.

Bubba73 03-25-2009 06:00 AM

Ya it looked pretty good, i didnt know where ya all crawled there but it didnt look that bad.

josh97 04-01-2009 06:12 PM

I will be in cr on april 17/18 anybody want to do some crawling lmk i also hear there is a good indoor spot???

colesdad45 04-02-2009 12:01 PM

That whole spot where the water is, is crawlabe. It was partially dry last summer when i was up there, and it was cool, I coud only imagine it all dry. If it ever dries up you can start all the way down at the reservoir side and find some pretty cool lines all the way up to the spillway. I think that is going to be our first camping spot this year, I just got to find an easy way to find out if the lake is spilling over.

Bubba73 04-02-2009 08:12 PM

I am always up for crawling. The indoor place here is in north liberty Mid-America Hobbies give me a jingle when your here some of us will meet ya there, and if its nice we can go to a wicked place for crawling.

josh97 04-02-2009 08:44 PM

sweet bubba i will do that i was hoping to have my swx,and new comp crawler tires but rpp got ripped off so might just be the old scorpian.
