Thumbs up cedar rapids

i found a new place to crawl in town today. there is a huge concrete pile and a rocky shore (next to the river) filled with an asortment of rock sizes. im having quite the challenge runing my super on lots of the lines but there should be a little somthing for everyone. It is located next to the ellis park boat ramp (not the boat house ramp). pull in the parking lot and youll see the concrete pile, then walk twords the river and youll find plenty of boulders.

Have fun.....

Do you guys still crawl the spillway at the lake between Cedar Rapids and I-80? I crawled there almost 3 years ago, great place

Bubba if you like that kind of rock to crawl on (rip rap) come to Dubuque the river's edge is all that kind of rock and some bigger. You could spend a long long time there.

Gerame, the flood last year really reaked havoc on everything last year. I don't know any one that has been down there since.

Ya if your heading to the hobby shop on 965 from CR. Once you go under i380 its your first left turn. stop sign go left than to the water. If you come from northliberty you go down 965 twards Cr. You will go past the boats and it's your first right after the marine 218. turn right, stop, left go to the rocks.

That's after the long walk over the dam? It's never been dry enough to crawl on for me yet. That looks pretty good right there!

That whole spot where the water is, is crawlabe. It was partially dry last summer when i was up there, and it was cool, I coud only imagine it all dry. If it ever dries up you can start all the way down at the reservoir side and find some pretty cool lines all the way up to the spillway. I think that is going to be our first camping spot this year, I just got to find an easy way to find out if the lake is spilling over.
