Just wanted to let everyone know about the new track in Cambridge. They have large offroad and oval tracks and a rock garden for crawling. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet but it should be fun. I have been so busy this summer that I only had my crawler out a few times. :-( They are letting everyone race and crawl for free this year and maybe next. I can't make it this Sat, but they would like testers for the rock garden. The physical address is: 16588 NE 42nd St. Cambridge, IA 50046 If you need directions you can e-mail Charlie at credrington@msn.com or Andy at a_hotopp@hotmail.com . |

They're calling it Cambridge R/C Speedway but it's just a the tracks at Frank's residence. He is the owner of Hobbytown in Ankeny but because of health reasons, the store will be closing at the end of the month. The tracks are going to stay open though.

I am planning on putting an RC Crawler club together....probably be called Kamikaze Krawlers RC Club. I have spoke with Charlie about developing the crawler course and I have been down there to check it out. There is definitely a lot of potential with the rock pile that is currently there, it just needs to be assembled. Any interest in getting together some time this week and whipping the pile into shape? Maybe a GTG and a friendly comp? |

LIke to see some pics of this place. Rock piles are really not that appealing to me. Natural rock is more fun. Yah it's the midwest, but I know there's rock out there. That's kinda why I came up with I.C.P.C.

I was thinking of making a run to Hobby Haven in the morning. I could throw the LCC in and do some crawling at Cambridge. Its along the way, if anybody wants to come out. Sunday is out for me, gotta take the Misses up north. |
