hey guys found out i have easter sunday off. i know i know its a holiday and what not but if the can crawl jeeps in moab on easter why cant we in iowa(well rc things that may resemble jeeps). so if anyone wants to go lets go.

I don't know if that's going to work or not. Family thing that day. You never know though

lol. i know everyone has family stuff. i do to but i dont like holidays(except christmas i love christmas) my OLDER siblings always have to argue about some dumb stuff and then their little army of children(8 between the 2 of them) have around screaming like banshees. so dad and i usually end up locking ourselves in the garage watchin old race vids or football. so i figured if i could go crawlin i would. lmk guys

Well we should pick out a group name like ORCRC, UTRCRC, have. That way we can add our selfs to the club registry sticky for more people. It's shorter and easier to say and type. It also would help people build up reputation for the club name. I don't want the club to be called ILRCRC as it would get confused with the Iloverockcrawlin guy. :mrgreen:

MWRCRC could work, but I think alot of people (myself included) wouldn't want to drive 5 hours for a GTG every couple of weeks. Someday it could happen, but something like that would seemingly work better if a bunch of clubs collaborated to form one regional club. There could be a regional club with individual state chapters, like unions. MWRCRC local ___, or MWRCRC MN,IA, chapter, whatever. It could be done I suppose, but it would sure take a long time and alot of effort on alot of people's part.

Say you have a regional club and local branches. You hold comps. You win your crawling season. The winners (or top 2?) of all the local branches meet for region finals. Well at that point you'd have to have nationals too so that if you win the region, you compete against all the other region winners for the title. I think you'd almost have to have at least one club in each state to really justify having regional clubs.

It would be cool though for RC crawling ot be that big and popular. Baby steps.

Why not some thing simple "RockCrawling" I never liked the "MRRRCRC" "RTJRTGJHKJRCRC"

Ditto, I was/am trying to suggest to our guys in MN, Headwaters RC Crawlers or just Headwaters Crawlers since we're from the Mississippi headwaters state. More on the lines of the Poo waters crawlers. ;-)
But I do like the idea of some kind of Midwest comps or gtg's a couple of times a summer at least, I'm looking forward to meeting everyone at the June 24th comp weekend.

I can't make for this weekend, Family thing going on. My $.02 about starting a club, it sounds good to me:mrgreen: . We need to keep the name short and simple, my vote MWRCA
