OK boys and girls,

IaROCK is putting a new spin on the summer competitions. We will be doing a summer points series with competitions on the 2nd Weekend of each month starting in April and ending in September.

Here is how the points series gonna work...

Each comp will consist of 3 courses per class. Your combined score from all three courses will be logged into the "Cage the Dawg" Summer Series points total. The driver to finish the series in September with the lowest score will be the WINNER.

There will be some nice prizes and trophies for the top 3 drivers of each class.

We will be running a 2.2 class, 2.2 Sportsman class and 1.9 class at each event in the series.

2.2 Class
This class is open to all types of 2.2 crawlers.
All crawlers must meet the 2.2 class requirements set forth by the USRCCA.
ALL crawlers WILL go through the Tech-In Process before EACH comp.

2.2 Sportsman***
This class will be shaft driven crawlers ONLY with NO DIG.
All crawlers must meet the 2.2 class requirements set forth by the USRCCA.
ALL crawlers WILL go through the Tech-In Process before EACH comp.

1.9 Class
This class will be open to all 1.9 crawlers.
All crawlers must meet the 1.9 class requirements set forth by the USRCCA.
ALL crawlers WILL go through the Tech-In Process before EACH comp.

***Now, if you got a bad a$$ shafty with a DIG then you must compete in the regular 2.2 class. You may however, unplug the DIG and run in the Sportsman class. You will also be allowed to run in either class during the series, but not on the same day.

This is going to be a fun year. With this being a roving series no 3 comps will be the same.

Another 7950 death? I've killed two and Brian killed one at the Shack GTG. I think there is an issue with them

I just stole Nick's JR off the Mt Dew Express. I'm back in business. The 7950 is on it's way back to Hitec. It broke the center gear shaft and screwed up a couple teeth. No telling which happened 1st.

Comp will go on...rain or shine.

We have a covered area in the event of rain....which looks pretty probable this time.

Do you guys ever hold any events in northern Iowa? And if so could you let me know when so that I could have a chance to make some plans to attend. I saw that your 1st and 2nd comps were a bit to far for me and it would be nice to get out and crawl with some different faces. (no offense to MNRCRC) And it would be easier cause your comps are on Saturday's.

There is a spot by Boone that has been mentioned. Mad Dawg also has some rocks up by him around Webster City. We haven't explored any further north. Stormin and some others have been down to the Gorge before. It is well worth the drive just to crawl it That's our next comp Saturday May 19.
