I am from Marshalltown and will be getting a crawler soon, the scorpion. Need something to build or do while its cold or snowing or cold and snowing. I havent got the kit yet but in a couple of days, I did pick up aspeed control(Dynamite Tazer12T), motor(Integy 65T lathe motor) and a servo(ACE digital). On a budget thats why I picked up those items. For the radio I'll use one of my many Traxxas TQ's . Can't wait to build it. I'll keep it stcok but maybe some different tires and body..

Oh yea this is my first post here too.

whats up man, I am from marshalltown born raised and just recently left or MOSHalltown as i know it. I live out here in denver now but i am going in the navy so i will be in town to kick it for two weeks end of march. for your question i would totally hit up a tq3 that is a good three channel radio that is cheap to come by. EPA is nice but necassary if you are just starting out. I rock a spektrum radio and it is killer but so is the price tag. I have a totally modded out scorpion that i have been competing with in colorado. Pm me if you have any questions man I could possibly know you i worked at mikes bikes and fitness for 7 years.

Actually I never been to Mikes and I lived here most of my life. I think I will either exchange the servo for a Hitec or just break down and get a radio with EPA or both. Next time I will ask first then buy.
