Can we get a list of ACTIVE IA members. Gas is getting pricy, seeing if there are locals to crawl with.

Just you and Bnut, maybe you can get the park rangers to crawl?

Everyone in our club is from Iowa except for the 4-5 people I haul over there. Really need a like motorcycle or hybrid to check out some new areas with. We need to find a few more fresh spots for next season.

I did a search of Iowa members. There's 60 registered, but it looks like only about 14 active.

Default US tour

I will be in Ottumwa IA next week and I thought about bringing along my crawlers and cameras to document my tour of the USA. The next couple of months with my company will have me traveling all over the countryside. I plan on crawling in at least two different states per month. With a little help from the detected members of this site I think I will end up with some great footage. And would also like to put some faces to screen names. Any help along my way would be greatly appreciated.

Default Not this time

Not if everything goes well with the job I am required to do. I am scheduled to be there from 6-11 to 6-15 usually leave Friday morning if things go well. Plus the person I am traveling with starts vacation on the 18th so I'm sure he will be anxious to get back.

I need to get another motorcycle. I would hop a ride up north for sure. I cant afford gas otherwise and still havent made a IA get together or comp. I would have to get somebody to watch the dogs too.

Lame excuse John. We all pretty much drive 2 plus hours usually more for each comp.
The dogs are welcome at the comps. We have my dog at every one. Also Freetime from MN brings his down as well.

Default Wow

I am glad I brought my crawlers. Ottumwa has a water park and that is about it. I think I found the only five rocks in town, and plenty of mud and sand. I found the rocks at the campground/park off HWY 63 just south of HWY 34.

Just to let you know, the Iowa boys are Des Moines and east. The closest Iowa comp I have seen is in Des Moines, most of them Cedar Rapids and places east of there.

I live in North Liberty, IA. It is about 5 miles north of the Iowa City/Coralville area. Thats spitting distance from one of you crawling spots. I just got a TLT and have been working on getting a crawler built. Slow progress since my wife just had our baby. For some reason spare time is rare nowadays. Anyway, I hope to be crawling soon.
