Default Club formation

okay, work is slow.......

so i will go ahead to push this forward.

first, do want to?

Second, we need a name. I thought of "Central Kansas Mini Binders" or mini twisters, or something along those lines.

Third, how formal do we want to be? do we want a figure head to keep the group organized? Or do we just want to let it flow and members host meets as we go?

Last, do we all use Facebook? someone mentioned a website, i can do that, but a Facebook page would be easier for me to manage ;)

I don't "use" Facebook, but I have one... Checking it once in a while wont be a problem.

Like 2 years ago, a couple guys I met on here and I decided on MKRCRC for a club name. It's "Mid Kansas Radio Control Rock Crawlers". I actually still have a sticker we had made-up on my radio We by no means hafta use that name though... I kinda like a "Kansas-inspired" name. It's more fitting and shows everyone whats up

I am by no means a leader, and since I lack people/communication skills, I vote myself NOT to take charge... But, I'm willing to help in ANY way I can

I'm all for a club and I do agree we have to have a good name. I think we should come up with a list of names, pick the top 3 or 5, and have a vote on it.

I like anything with Central Kansas in it.

Once we have a cool name, I have a friend who can come up with a cool logo for us. She did my wife's digital art for her real estate cards and she is very reasonable on the price, which I will take care of.

Are there going to be any sanctioned events and classes (i.e. 1.9, 2.2, etc) in this "club"? There are national rules in accordance with this. It's a important part to follow those rules for those that will compete in other regions and "clubs".

G2Gs and whatnot are fun, but I think legit classes and rules would make things more interesting.

I nominate dj to over see class ruling as he seems to have a good grasp of it.

I'll be working on a list of rules for the different classes, and points. I'll use the rules I've found here, and on other competitions. Certain aspects of the "competition" are just for fun like the trail run and aren't for points but just fun. I'll base most of the rules off of the 2012 SORCCA Scale Rules that are posted on here, but make it so that some aspects are allowed so that everyone is in a class....but scoring is based on the whole in general. For Coronado meet, we don't have to abide by rules if decided, you can also see what everyone else thinks on that.

true and i guess once my dig or rear steer is working again, i would be more capable. really i am under estimating this thing, had it not been for the clod stall, i would have made that final climb Sunday, and then that one spot i couldn't get around that tree, a dig would have worked well there. is there an penalty for use of dig in comp classes?

My job leaves me with plenty of time alone with my thoughts, so I tried to think of a name. I thought of "Crawlers Of Central Kansas", but I don't care for the acronym much...
