More details to come after this weekends crawl in Raymond, going to use that as a test to see how the format works. the 7th is a Saturday, if everyone prefers Sunday i am cool with that. Not sure about the runs yet, though anyone who has been up there knows there is great terrain and i have not even seen it all yet. once i get my lipos and ESC upgraded (should be done in June) i will spend some time up there scouting trails and such. right now we have a decent (long) hill climb and a ton of technical spots (the hidden shelf seems to be the most favorite right now) I want to try and find out what parks office over sees it and ask about doing some trail recovery, it's pretty over grown. I know alot of people go up there just to walk and hike so i might be able to organize a community clean up effort. there is an outhouse (male/female un marked, single "stool" per side, and no doors) and we are only a few miles from Lindsborg with food, fuel and such. Again, more details once i see how this weekend goes, these things are always experimental. Last edited by Docwolf; 06-12-2012 at 12:09 PM. |

well roughly figuring, we should have about 10 that are given attendees including you all from Raymond, that alone will make a good get together ![]() |

A few years back when Coranado burned that was the cleanest/ prettiest it has been in a long time! The place is a blast and never gets old. Lots of great terrain for scalers also.

Count me in for the Coronado crawl. I got two rigs but will use the SCX10 since the other is a comp rock crawler.

I am in with helping with the trail recovery efforts. Anything else I can help with, just ask. I was up there today and there are some good trails down by the bathrooms. There is a lot of very good technical trails. Everything from basic trails to extreme crawling. |

I am planning on being there! Will have a scaler, comp crawler, and see how far along my FOFF project is at that time.

I'll bring the Creeper along, and the SCX10 will be primary. The Creeper really isn't fair for driving in scale competitions.

So my dad was down for a visit yesterday (a few of you met him at our first outing up at the fort). I have the bronco all tore down right now and it exploded all across my work bench. he sat at the work bench, which is away from the rest of the living room and kinda of out of the "conversation zone" and spent most of the time picking up various pieces and checking them out. this struck me in two different ways, first it was odd, growing up, this man never took interest in any of my projects no matter what they were. second i realized how much he wants a rig, he has not said it, but i can see it. as they were leaving last night i finally asked him if he wanted a rig, he played it off, i told him about this event and invited him along. he gave me his usual excuse of " have to see how busy we are" (he is a hired farm hand). I won't have my shaft conversion even started by then, other wise i would reassemble the stock redcat and let him bash with it, so i thought i would see if anyone had a spare basher he could use at this outing if i got him to show up. i should have plenty of batteries by then.

I wish I had another rig! If I had my "other" rig done, I'd let him wheel the FJ, but my new rig is only in the planning stages as of now...
