The 1.9 winnings were reinvested into the Salina economy at the Blind Pig!

Big shoutout to lil' lowboy for an awesome performance in the 2.2 class, nothing better than seeing a 14yr old show a bunch of grown men how it's done. Congrats!

I was bummed out because I wasn't able to run my own junk, but other people stepped up with positive comments, suggestions, parts that I think I screwed up, and even a LOANER RIG so I could actually run my turn in my class. Thanks to the "masked man with the cape" who let me run his Dingo. It was fun to drive and it did make me feel better in the end that the day wasn't a total bust.

Thanks to James, Matt, Shane, Erin? and all who helped put on a great show for their first time. A big thanks to the vendors for supplying the great raffle prizes. A big shout out to Don's Hobby Shop for being there for us crawler guys & girls. Things like this can be over whelming I'm sure. The area they picked for the event was a great semi dry place to play. I will now be headed that way when I get my rig going again to play more often, lol. If less rain, maybe even less snow, too?

I, too, am glad the MKRCRC idea had come back up on the table. I was one of the original 3 people who thought of it. I hope everyone likes the idea and that this might be able to explode like KCRC did and we might be able to have our own events and such like they do. No pressure on the club idea guys, but LET'S DO THIS!!! Let's show people there's crawlin' in the flat lands. Whether it be at a state lake, Indian Rock, or where ever, let's get others to come to our events like other clubs do. Maybe we at some point could host an National event n the future like the Indoor Championships or something. I know I'm getting light years ahead of myself with all of this talk about the club, but I think it would be a good thing for us as a whole, and NO I do not want to hold any kind of office if and when this comes about. I'll get off of my soap box now.

Thanks everyone for coming out! It is amazing how big the crawling commuity has grown here in Kansas. A huge shout out to Blue Monkey RC, BGR Fabrication and Precision Welding, and Dons Hobby Shop. I also want to thank Shane, Matt, and my Wife for what they did to make this happen.

I think everything went well and I had a great time. It was a little overwhelming at times but I guess that can happen. The huge turn out made things go a little slower then we expected. The rain the night before didn't help anything either.

We hung out a little after everyone left and recapped the day and what improvements we could make on the next event. We did talk about the the event a little and all I can say is there will be A LOT more driving time.

I just got off the phone with Bill (BGR) and he was thrilled to be a sponsor and looks forward to sponsoring our next event. So please make sure to show the RCC venders some love and also make sure to stop by Dons for all your off the shelf replacement parts.

Once again thanks for spending your Saturday in good ol S Town. We will be seeing each other again in the near future.

I hope everyone had a great time cause that is the main purpose of our events.

The River Runners had a great time.. thanks. James, Shanerz, Matt you all did a great job.
One thing I just have to say is EVERY time I hear someone say they need this or don't have that one man always seems to step up instantly and that's Matt. I just think this shows the core group we have here is the real deal. I'm not saying there aren't others ....their are ....I've seen you do it. If we all continue these same actions we will grow this thing here in Kansas.
