Alright, Shanerz and I have been talking and we want to do a trail run with 2 or 3 gated competitions.

Details

Where: Indian Rock, Salina, Ks. We will meet at the storm shelter on the top. I'm going to try to reserve it. It is fully enclosed and has power with lights.

Date: Saturday, Oct 13th, 2012

Time: Meet at 12:00pm, start trailing at 1:00pm sharp!

Rules and Classes: (This only applies to the Gated trails, all other trail running is free play and will not be judged.) We are going to keep it simple since this will be the first time we are trying this.

• There is going to be a 1.9 and 2.2 class. 10th scale only.
• Scalers preferred but comp rigs are still welcome. No restrictions out side of that.
• The gated competition will be rated on a points system by Shanerz and I. (more details to come)
• If there happens to be a tie in the 1.9 or 2.2 class the winner will be decided on the looks of your rig. We will let everyone vote on the rigs in the tie. Then Shanerz or I will announce who won the tie breaker.

Entry fee for comp: $5.00 per class at the begining of the event. The money will be given to each winner of the 1.9 and the 2.2 class gated competition. You do not have to pay to come out and trail with us but you will not have a chance to show off your skillz and put a little green in your pocket.

The reason I wanted to do a cash prize for the winners is to give some of us a reason to take the gates a little more serious. This is all for fun but a little competition never hurts. And it's only $5.

So, come on out and have some fun! Suggestions are welcome, hope to see you there!

I was thinking about the 1.5 rigs right after I posted this. If we get 4 or more 1.5 rigs we will open up a 1.5 class for them. If there isn't 4 rigs and you want to compete you will be put in the 1.9 class.

I am 1.55! I'll gladly make a quick swap to 1.9's to compete, but I don't have any.I got rid of my 1.9's after I fell in love with these 1.55s. I imagine my rig would do alright against a 1.9 rig...

I'm hella strapped for cash right now, and will be until the 19th. I may sit this one out, but come up and watch! If I can magically get the gas to get up there... If I come to watch, I'll bring my brother's camera8)

Edit**: I read the date wrong. I get payed a few more times before the crawl, so I should be there ready to compete! If I need to, I'll grab some 1.9's before then as well

Yes you can. I have been up in the air about if it should be $5 to compete or $5 per class. I was leaning towards per class because you are doubling your chances to win. I'm open to input on what you guys think.

Per Class!

I started a second rig... well I have the chassis. It won't be scale, but it won't be moa or have dig... plannin on 2.2's, so hopefully this time next year I'll be runnin 2 classes8)

Are different classes gonna run at the same time? Say, will the 1.9 competition take place at the same time as the 2.2's?

I see no reason why we can't run em together, maybe get some color dots to make sure we can identify which class a rig is in.

We won't be running 1.9 and 2.2 classes at the same time

Me and Shanerz are getting together this weekend to work out some details and go scout some areas. I'm pretty sure were going to hold the 1.9 and 2.2 classes in the same locations (1.9 first then 2.2). Then free play to the next coarse and repeat. But the 2.2 course's will be more challenging then the 1.9 course's , and wider.

One more question. Since were doing per class payment. Should we add up all the money and spit it between the two winners. Or the winner gets the money for his class. I think winner gets the money for his class. Whats your guys input?
