Default Ackerman's Custom RC crawler shop

This may end up going nowhere knowing my luck, but there is a very good chance that we have found a house Lindsborg. rent for now with the option to buy later. The main feature that will effect us here, a Garage!!! not much for working on cars in, but a really nice space for working on my bike and doing RC fab work. The yard is also massive and I think the landlord will let me do some yard features, an with the massive deck, I am thinking next spring we will be hosting some RC & Grill events. needless to say, I FREAKING STOKED!!!!!!!!!!! it will be a slow start, but i plan on having the works, mini lathe/mill/drill press combo, I have a torch set, nice work area and just like Brian's place in Mac, all of you up my way are welcomed on weekends to hang out and build.

Count me in. An I have a shit ton of 'landscape materials' I could probably donate to the cause. Let's just say the whole load, squats my '77 Powerwagon, and that's just the rocks. I have cut tree limbs, and other stuff, too. I doubt you would have to look very far. Also, I work in a metal fab shop and have access to the scrap dumpster . Some of the tubing is to big for what we need, but the plate and stuff like that could probably be used.

We'll keep in touch.

Congrats on the new place. Sounds like a good move.

Now we can spend some time fabbing at your place.

Let us know how things go and keep us posted. By next summer I'm hoping that I've water proofed the SCX10 after I get the ESC on the way in it.

so we paid the deposit last night, landlord held on to the keys to finish some touch up work. he also mentioned that he noticed the wood entry door on the garage was rotting out at the bottom and decided to just replace with a nice strong steel door......I think I am going to like renting form this guy, he don't screw around. I have to share the garage with him, but he said I can do anything I want to organize both our of things, he doesn't really keep that much in there, but is just thrown in a pile on the floor. I bet once I am done, I can use 75% of that garage for my own projects. it's a single car unit, but it is 1 and 1/2 bays wide.

Okay, so i don't normally like to ask people for help moving as I don;t really enjoy helping others move. BUT we kinda want to get as much moved this coming weekend as we can. SO i can pay with beer, lots of beer, you tell what beer and i will pick it up. there is really not a lot of heavy things to move, but I do need help none the less. heaviest thing will be the fridge, everything else (tool box, dinning room table, couch, chair, bed, dressers, radio cabinets, shelves and my work bench) all break down in to lighter proportions, they are just long. If anyone can help on Saturday, it would be awesome. I am sure we can grill some burgers too.

Moving sucks, there's no doubt about that! Give me a time, and I'll be there. I have a 5x8 flatbed trailer I'll tow along that might help make fewer trips.

tell you what man, anytime Saturday would be great, we have a lot of smaller things we can move too, we will not be getting the keys until Friday night so we are going to have to hold off on moving anything till this weekend. it really should not take long to move the two man stuff, couple hours max. if you want to do it in the morning and get knocked out we can. looks like it might be raining too, i have a tarp for the stuff that matters, seems like the last time we moved was also in the rain lol.

Slept in a little, so I'm running late. Can't remember, is it Union or Lincoln street?
