I used to live about 2 miles from Santa Fe Lake. There has to be a lot of good crawl spots around there. Is there water in the lake? The last time I drove by, it was dry.

From wichita head east on hwy 54 past andover to sante fe lake road. Go north to sw shore drive, about a mile and a half. Looking at google maps there is a turnaround near the spillway right when you enter the park. We be there around one or two and so far two have committed.

Hey guys, I'm going to go out and scout it this afternoon and then I'll get some details posted. Does everyone want me to set up a g2g course or just go out and explore? I'm good doing either.

Well, I ate too much, drank too much and the Redskins looked good so I didn't make it out scouting yesterday. I've got a dozen or more cars to get done today but I promised my dog we would go run around in the woods today and he will definitely remind me on a regular basis so I'll get it done today. The directions that have been posted will work. If you are coming from up north or the north side of Wichita just take 135 to 96 and take it to the 21st street exit and continue east on 21st until you hit Santa Fe Lake road and turn south (right) and maybe a mile and a half up on the right hand side you'll see the entrance. The first parking area on your right is where we'll be parking but first you'll need to continue past that turnout and go to the office to get a permit. It's 5 bucks per car. My shop isn't far from there so we could let some people park at my shop and carpool. I just don't want to get too crazy with it because we need to build a relationship with the managers out there so we can do big events, etc with their cooperation and help. They don't get paid if people aren't buying permits. Let me know what everybody thinks about a gated course or just go ape in the woods. I'm thinking 1:30ish so everyone can get some lunch in their belly's.

Sounds great! I have been piddling with crawlers for a few years now with no one else to run with, it will be fun to get out on a good spot with more than one rig.

Looks like you guys had a blast. Wish I could've made it this trip. Maybe next time. Great pics to show off your play ground.

It was a good time. I'm glad you enjoyed it Brandon. It was super cool meeting Billy too. When his wife got there to pick him up she thanked me for babysitting him. It's still cracking me up. Hotrodblder, you are welcome anytime brother.
