Default Wraith Build...... Hopefully

Well i got a wraith chassis with nothin but links and body panels with a custom interior... So i'm gonna try to build one hopefully. lol i gotta find parts and pieces for everything but the electronics (except a servo i need one of those things). So as much input would be appreciated on this guys as this will be my first partial build... i'm gonna try for scale with comp capabilities soo once again as much input as one can bear many thanks....

Read the Wraith section maybe? Not trying to be mean, but I think it would be an obvious start.

And yeah, it looks pretty smooth so far, too.

I run a Tekin Redline 13.5 with a mamba max pro in mine. I love that combo. When you get some axles, you need to get some metal spools, cause the Axial ones suck. There is a lot of good info in the Wraith section.

I'm running a tekin fxr on 3s with a 35turn tekin pro brushed motor.

I'm assuming you don't have axles yet??

Also overdrive and underdrive gears work great with these rigs. What you should really do is read the sticky threads under the wraith section. Lots of good info will be found there

I'm a big fan of wraiths on scx axles. I used them on mine with 1.9 mad beast tires, mayhem engineering monster wheels with .7 hubs to widen them up just a tad. The ESC and receiver/tx are from my old deadbolt ,(the truck was actually converted from a DB), and both waterproofed with spray plasti-dip. I use a 35 turn motor on 3s for power which is tucked under the hood in a custom brass holder. Its geared a bit mild so I can go on 4 hour trail rides and not worry about heat. For shocks I'm running Losi 4" comp crawler aluminum shocks. They work well and don't leak as far as I can tell. I had Stephen, a local, weld me up a bumper and stinger so I can mount a winch. It has 27 LED's for night driving. The head and tail lights are just plugged into the receiver and the light bar runs on 3s. I get many compliments on how scale it looks and its easily my favorite rig.

With your fast back mod, the axial EXO rear light bar fills in the back of the roof real nice and completes the KOH look.

If you do decide to go 1.9 you have to re-work some of the plastic tube braces to make room for the axle mounted servo.

I had a local fellow, Stephen, build a custom bumper to mount a winch. The 1.9's look great on there with the narrow axles. . It also has 27 LED's for night driving and has been water proofed.

Edit: And the front has overdrive gears Axial Recon G6 - HobbySportMedia
