Nice weather we are having. Anyone wheel last weekend?

It was pretty nice last weekend and the past few days? Anyone get in any wheeling?

I managed to break the front axle of my TF2 trudging through an epic line of rocks where I had no business trudging (but I made it). This was at a place called echo cliff near Maple Hill (google Echo Cliff Road in Maple Hill). There are large and small rock piles and some intimidating hill climbs at this location if you make it there. I plan on replacing the dog bone type axle internals with xvd's from rc4wd.

I managed to loose a screw that kept a rear shock on the dingo. This happened at Dornwood Park in Topeka while I was scouting out the lines for my August 4th date. Its an easy fix but I lost the shock specific flanged spacer. This is a pretty nice place to run toy trucks. The terrain is varied and has a number of challenges. I like it because it is in town.

Over all, it was good times. So what did you all do with the nice weather.

I worked on the hobby trailer some more after the shakedown run to Coronado. Also pulled the trigger on a Twin Hammers after seeing how they performed on the rocks. This will force me to finally convert all my rigs to 2.4GHz since I'm out of 75MHz receivers! So no more making fun of my long antenna!

moved our office down stairs and started moving our entertainment room upstairs, sprayed the lawn and cooked out.

I got my new brushlesshobbies 4lt in last Saturday but haven't taken time to install it. need to get a new spool for the front, was going to order a gripfab off shupershafty.com but they are out of stock. I did order the HR .21 electric conversion trans for the 55 build while I was there. If you have not seen this thing yet, don't look it up, it will only give you new build ideas!

I have not torn the front axle apart yet to confirm that the diff did fail, but I figured the spool would be a nice upgrade anyways;)

Don't worry, we will find something else to pick on you about.

I would be willing to help move stuff, but I'm without a vehicle... so I'll be car shopping all weekend...

I haven't got around to fixing my scaler from Coronado. I have the stuff to fix it, just a bit lazy... I worked on my 2.2 rig (I added JeepinDoug cups and redid my links) I managed to get my drift car up and running, and started building my Rustler. I need to order a couple more receivers, but everything is starting to come together. I'm hoping to have my scaler done before too long, I've got an itch to crawl!

I haven't made it out much since it has been warm last weekend we(my son and I ) and ended up stripping the gears on his servo but it was another good test for the new setup in my wraith
