KCRC's - KING of GOATS

KING of GOATS & POKER RUN !
Goat Hill R/C off road park - 7500 O'Flaherty rd, KC, MO
saturday september 14th

the King of Goats - KOH style racing !!
fastest lap time wins.

classes 1.9 & 2.2
you will be able to make multiple runs/laps for your best one lap time.

along with a ,
POKER RUN
for those who don't want to have RUN around the course !!
any class allowed 1.55 - 1.9 - 2.2

entries will have to do @ least 3 laps.

you will find decks of cards on the trail,
pick your card per lap on every section of the trail,
with the total of 5 cards per entry.
highest card total will wins !!

the KOG's is one of our "TOUGHEST" events we have @ GH !!

so you think you have what it takes to be the KING of GOATS ??

this is a 100% free event to enter !!

I missed the Goat Hill event last month, and I'd really like to make it to this one!

Will this be an over-night run? I think I heard that somewhere...

this is our last race style event for this year !
& a chance 4U to be Goat Hill - KING of GOATS for 2013

the NIGHT OF GOATS will be in october,
a scale all night fun run/camp-out thing :twisted:

I would like to attend, and maybe a few friends. What do I need to be outfitted with to survive? Winch, tow rope, how much battery time, waterproof?

I was at a Goat Hill event a few months ago and a winch isn't completely necessary but a tow rope is a must. There's no water there, but there will probably be mud so being waterproof or "splashproof" wouldn't hurt. I ran the whole day on 2 1300mah packs, but I'd probably recomend being able to run for 3 hours or so, but you probably wont need it all. Jerry will probably chime in as well, hope this helps in the mean time8)

the only chance of water or mudd is if it rains the day before the event !

3 weeks out from the
"KING of GOATS"

my self & the club will be getting the course up to shape in the next few weeks !!

there has been a lot of changes @ the hill & be will adding some new things on the course for this event.

should a Great event with the addition of the slow paced,
"POKER RUN".

something for everyone & every skill level "thumbsup"

I got my wedding anniversary right around that time but I'm gonna be at the Night of the Goats for sure.

everything will run togeather,
the KOG drivers will have the right of way over the poker run - runners
poker run guys must get out of the way of the KOG drivers

Goat Hill R/C Off Road Park,
KING of GOATS/Poker Run agenda.

Saturday sept 14th.

Watch for the Goat Hill/KCRC signs - they will be out.
8.00 am gates open - no sooner please.

PLEASE drive SLOW - SLOW - up the main drive & in between the buildings.

8.00am to 10.15am check in.
10.20am drivers meeting - must attend to participate !
10.30am - Event run time starts !!
all drivers will have 6 hours of open course,
12.00 no lunch break - event keeps running.
4.30pm event time ends !!
4.45pm KOG's fastest times announced - highest card hand announced
awards handed out.

Rules:
POKER RUN:
single start - one rig at a time - at least 1 minute apart.
all poker run entries MUST give way for the king of goats entries
at all times !!
KOG's drivers have the right of way !!
picking up your rig is allowed to make way.
hand roll over allowed - no penalty.
towing & wenching allowed - no penalty
no time kept for the poker run.
all entries must make at least 3 laps to get all 5 cards.
only 5 laps allowed per entry.
once you have 5 cards - thats it - even though you may have only done 3 laps - but you have 5 cards,
you can NOT go back out & change cards.
any class size 1.55-1.9-2.2 all one class.
you may enter both the poker run & the king of goats @ the same time.

KING of GOAT's:
single start - one rig at a time - at least 1 minute apart.
hand roll over allowed - but will cost you - 30 seconds - per offence.
time kept per entry/per lap.
make as many runs as U can in the allowed time.
2 classes - 1.9 & 2.2
you may enter both classes.
you may enter both the poker run & the king of goats @ the same time.
any SHORT COURSING = disqualified/finished for the day.
fastest time = KING of GOATS

bring your self something to eat & drink - it will be a long day !!
fire pit will be burning.
there are pit tables - but you may want to bring a chair.
the critters are getting hungry there @ GH - so bring your bug spray !

Goat Hill R/C Off Road Park - Poker Run/KING of Goats Results !

just want to start off with thanking everyone for attending.
our local guys & everyone from out of town.

the weather was super nice !!
everyone did a great job & had a super good time.

thanks to the dinky crew - jasper & BC for helping out with the scoring.
& a Big thanks to the KCRC guys for your help all so....

THX for the prizes - Jay from Hobby Haven - glad you could make out & the trays from philip.

EvOL's crawl thing was a big hit - thx for bring that out with U. "thumbsup"

the course turned out to be super tough by the end of the day.
6 hours of racing & 32 rigs/people running around it,
took its toll on the course & the racers - big holes everywhere - slick & lots of sore legs & feet !

now you know why we call it goat hill !!

14 - 1.9 rigs
32 - 2.2 rigs
12+ poker run entries

a great & the biggest turnout at Goat Hill so far !!

your first GH poker run winner !
