Alright, lets use this thread to figure out the carpooling topic. It is $5 per fullsize car to enter the park for the day. I will have enough of my own equipment (Chairs, table, event tent, cooler, rigs, tools) to justify taking my own truck on in, but I will have room for more gear and could carry about 3 people, maybe 4 if you don't mind sharing laps. we can meet outside of the park, I think there are a few places to park. we can also meet in Lindborg at my house, I have plenty of parking available.

I'm in the process of getting my truck drivable and on the street. I thought about possibly grilling if people are interested. I can load up my gas grill and I have a cooler full of bottled water ready for ice already. If people wanted to bring burgers, dogs, brats, whatever to throw on the grill, we could maybe do some sort of lunch, too, if that sounded good. I will update as I can about the status of my truck and the ability to bring the grill as time gets closer.

I'm planning on taking the Avalanche, so I have room for 3 or 4 others. I will be leaving from the McPherson area, and I can meet up in Lindsborg too, since I will be going in that direction.

What time do we plan on meeting at Horse Thief?

Currently 11, if we are going to cook a few of us could get there a bit early. I have a grill, cooler, couple of chairs, and a pit tent.

Looks like i am going to go ahead and ride with Bryan (Elbandito), probably will not have room for the Grill. Should be able to get the pit tent, some chairs, and maybe the cooler in (i hope, have to see how much room we have).

Also have been offered a 15T to burn up in the 55, so it will be on hand for anyone who wants to run it around. on 2s it is pretty fun, on 3s it is insane. The ESC is rated for 4S I think, but i doubt the motor would last long enough to get any fun out of it. it is still experimental so I am looking to get input on it.

between this poll and responses i have gotten elsewhere, i am going to estimate right now that we will have about 12 people on hand, i think that should be a really good turn out! And that is only an estimate, we may have more.

Well Saturday my vehicle started to steam through the exhaust. So not real sure its reliable to be going out to Kanopolis for the social in it. So I am probably going to see about a ride for me and my two kids plus our rc gear, and see if thats possible from Salina. Otherwise we will have to miss this social. But Im hoping to find a ride for us and be able to go. Been looking forward to it from the beginning.

I got a new fuel filter and new plugs for the 1:1 Beast today. Plan on working on it this week end to see how things go. Will keep you informed on how things go Adam, as to whether or not things work for taking the grill.

I very regrettably may have to back out of this crawl. The wife hoping to be offered a part time night manger/server position at the Pizza Hut here in town and may get scheduled for that day. I will know for sure Monday.

I may be out of this as well. With our van starting to steam in the exhaust, and it cracking the radiator as well. Ive looked for a ride there but have not been able to find one. So will probably not be going. I'd need a ride for me and my two kids. Who trail with me. It would have to be from Salina area to and from the trails. If theres a way to do it, Id love to go, but havent come up with it yet. Thanks!

Well, I think I killed my 1:1 truck. Won't know more until after next paycheck prolly. I'm still going. Mike I'll come get you & yours as long as you don't brink kitchen sink, they have water there. That way every body fits. Adam, sorry you won't be making any more meets possibly. I'm going to see how much a table top grill is & see if it's feasable, that way we still might be able to grill on your last outing.
As for you building a 'rock garden' I have a shit load of rock in my back yard along with rail road ties & stuff you could possibly have if you wanted to look into it. I've had the stuff for over 4yrs & havn't done anything with it yet. We can talk more about it Sunday if you want.
