Rock crawling in South central Ky by the green river Aug 8

If you plan on comming please sign in below with the number of trucks you plan to bring and what they are, also be sure to specify whether you want to do a get togeather or a competition! This is so Jason from Rc Driver can determine if this event is worth covering or not.

We will be meeting in Rocheaster Ky by the old boat ramp on Augest the 8th to do a bit of crawling. This will not be a competition unless you guys decide that it would be more fun to do one.

Theres a hobby shop in Bowling green which is an hours drive away depending on how fast you drive, traffic and how many cops are out. The hobby shop is mostly plane stuff but if you need something like tire glue they can cover you.

There is a number of motel/hotels in morgantown as well as a sonic,Mc Donalds, mexican place, chinese place, hardees and a couple of pizza places.

Here is some pictures of the location that we will be crawling in:

You can find more here: http://img78.photobucket.com/albums/v326/Highmark/

You can bring anything from a Pajero up to a a truck with Kongs and find something to crawl on. Fast trucks could also be accomidated but the only room to drive them is in the parking area which is gravel. The only rules are: no 1:1 wheeling, and no drukeness or loud cursing. Please remeber that this area is privately owned so keep in mind that other individuals may be fishing, camping ect.

Well jeez, guess I should sign in if I'm telling everyone else to!

I'll be bring my Pede tranny TLT axle Bronco crawler and a larger MGT tired truck if it's finished in time along with a few trucks to play around with. As for a competition I dont care, to me crawling is crawling!

Also if anyone needs help with anything feel free to ring me up at Jmeredith@logantele.com

I`ll be there. Right now it looks like I`ll have one truck, my X axled, BFTed buggy. And a comp would be good. At least then maybe we can get this Crawling thing some much deserved exposure.

Yup, I'll be bringing the Scorpion and maybe my TXT and a clod.

I have a buddy that has a TXT as well. I think he wants to ride up with me.

Could you post a mapquest link?

Re: Rock crawling in South central Ky by the green river Aug

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...chtype=address

Depending on how you come in, you stay on 70 west (assuming your comming from Morgantown) until you see a sign that says "Welcome to Historic Rocheaster Ky" then keep going straight untill you cross a bridge over the Green river. After that theres a sharp turn with a gravel parking lot to the right and that's where you need to be. I'll post my cell# when we get a bit closer in case anyone has any problems getting there.

Also I'll bring the cones to set-up a corse, that way if we get there and decide to do or not to do a comp we'll be ready either way. It shouldn't take more then a couple of minutes to set up a corse will all of the terain that's there.

Yes I am spelling Rochester wronge, sorry!

Anyway Rochester is not in Morgantown, it's where the 'g' is in Knightsburg, you can find it if you do a search for "rochester" in Mapquest but I'm posting the link wronge or something.....I hate Mapquest :flipoff:

Re: Rock crawling in South central Ky by the green river Aug

Turns out to be more of a haul than I expected, about 470 miles, but oh well, I havent been the route from here towards Owensboro in about three years so it`ll be a good ride. If anyone from out this way wants to go but doesn`t want to make the drive or buy the gas let me know I`ll probably have an open seat.
Highmark, can you get any GPS numbers for the crawling spot ? If not it`s no biggie, I`ll find it.

4XADICT,

I might be able to go and we we could split the gas $$. E-mail me at kflinkingshelt@parkdalemills.com and maybe we can work something out.

Thanks,
Kevin

For some odd reason I kept thinking this was on a Saturday.

Sunday...whoo! :D

So, how many are coming?

Re: Rock crawling in South central Ky by the green river Aug

Here's a list of people who will most likely be there (just by looking at the posts).

Bradster (1 truck)
Highmark (1-2 truck)
4XADICT(1 truck)
JasonInAugusta(1-3 trucks)
"Jason's buddy" (1 truck)
BgBlkXj (1 truck)
KrawlerTJ(1 truck, I guess?)

The folks who no one really knows yay or nay
Fishmaxx (1 truck)
Busted crawler(1 truck)
CSR(1 truck)

So at the most 10 trucks and at the least 7, pretty damn good for the first event( If everyone shows up  )!

BTW we havent really said anything about the time of the day yet, me and Brad will probably be there around 11 our time to set up a couple of courses unless you guys want to do it later in the day....
