Default Bowling Green hang out

Hey folks, it's finally summer. I know a lot of you guys are planning vacations and so forth. But some aren't, yet. I'm one that's not. Wanna get together with some other available folks and do a Saturday or Sunday meet up. This is an invite for locals from Bowling Green area and near by. If you live further away, your still welcome. Haven't figured up a place to meet yet. I want to see if I get any responses first on this invite. Once there's a few interested, then I would like to discuss possible places to meet up. So don't be shy folks. There's plenty of places to crawl around in BG and the surrounding area. So hit me up guys.

I was just there this weekend. Water is a little high, but still lots of good lines to run.

I usually check this site: National Weather Service Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service

It's a smidge high right now, It's starts getting better when it's dropped about 5 more feet. It looks like this (this is from the lower parking lot side) when the gauge is bottomed out:

I've been there once when the water was pretty high and there was still some good crawling. Those rocks on the left in the back ground we're completely covered.

I'm going today. Right now actually. Should be there in about an hour. So if anyone wants to go today, I'll be there. For a while. I'm in a red Ranger with a "Get Bent Racing 48" banner on the windshield. Hope to see someone.

Well never mind. The trip didn't take long at all. Turns out that I'm only about 30min from Rochester. Here's the crappy part. As soon as I get there, the truck smoked the motor. Yep it's toast. It sucks cause I wasted a trip up there but I know how to get there now. And I walked around and checked the place out. Going home and yankin this stock turd out and ordering something bigger, stronger, and better.

Well I'd like to take a moment of silence for a Makita drill sacrificing its motor to go in my truck. Didn't have the extra $$ to get a Holm Hobby motor yet, so this Makita motor is working great right now. Added some weights to the front wheels and on the frame. It has definitely made a difference in the tires planting themselves on the trails, rocks, and inclines. Still will be out at Rochester in Aug. Maybe sooner this month.

I've coordinated a few social crawls at Red River Gorge. Been tossing the idea around of one at Rochester, specifically in early August.

It seems the Bowling Green area crawlers is a completely different group than Louisville/Lexington. I'm apparently spoiled living at Knox as both areas are fairly close.

Yes it would be nice to get a group together to go trailing. It needs to happen. Tired of trailing by myself.
