i converted mine to steel buggy cvd's for drive shafts. holds up fine now.

hows the chassis holdin up?!
it is doing fine for now, but i havent had a chance to really launch it yet to see how it will hold up in a bad crash.

That looks like a sick motor, how does it do for crawling? I'm building a large scale with Summit trans, and need something that can crawl and give big top end speed.

this set up has zero cogging. now i have not ran a castle esc and the t8 together, but it seams that a lot of folks on here do. i know that's not what your talking about but i figured i'd bring it up anyways. the t8 combo cost around $330 and the castle esc and t8 motor would only cost around $275. that's some good savings, but i have been crawling too many times and something happen and i've had to switch stuff around for what ever reason and my castle sidewinder esc loose it's settings. now without a computer or a laptop on hand, or trying to count beeps your out of luck. or if you just want to make some adjustments it's not happening on a rock out by the lake. now one thing i do like about the cc esc is the sidewinder had auto lipo and it did not need to be preset to run 2s or3s. im assuming the castle mmp has this also and it would be handy switching from 3s to 6s. now the tekin fxr's i have ran could be set up the same way the tekin rx8 esc is set up. two buttons and some initials for what your setting up and values. i have never been left stranded on a day of crawling with a tekin, but do wish my rx8 had auto lipo detect. so the t8 combo does cost a little more, but you wont ever be stuck out somewhere and not have full reverse instant reverse or something stupid like that. hope this helps you with your decision.

one more thing, the cc combo's are not sensored setups and the tekin's are. it was explained to me like this. top fuel, high end stupid speed vehicles are usually carbureted where as fuel injection on a car might not run as fast, but are more tunable and can be used in more applications. meaning the castle motors are like a top fuel drag car, mash it and it's just insane power, and the tekin "sensored" motors are constantly hooked up to a wire being made run smooth all the time. that may be a bit of a corny way to put it but it made sense to me.

I've been looking round the net for a while now to decide what to get, but that made the most sense of anything I've read so far! Thanks!
