And I'm running 3.3:1 Axial Ratio Ring & Pinion
and now am getting 38MPH (much More Controllable)

I cant remember if you have the 4.3:1 or 3.3:1 ring & pinion axial setup
But.....
I will tell you if you have the 4.3:1 R & P setup like "Cordwood" has in his FOFF
Your in for around 53MPH using 6 inch Tires, a 21T pinion and the 56T RR Slipper

Cant wait for ECC

Regards Big Rick
dont you mean axle setup

I was packaging up some "AXIAL" product up for shipping when I wrote that so I guess I had Axial on the brain

Small update:

Got the cms kit last night and immediately put it on with the servo to get my drag link length so I can sort out the panhard link and mount. This is where the fun begins because as soon as that's finished I will get some power to this beast and see what needs to fixed before ECC!

I also opened the scoop on the dinky hood to get air flow over the esc fan, looks cool looking at the front and thru the scoop you see the rx8 logo. Will get some pics later...

OK guys a few pics!! Woohoo

The front suspension is sorted and now I am ready to finish the elects and maybe do a test run this weekend!

Love this view, POWER!!

Think this will work!!

Think I got the Panhard bar in the right spot!! cant wait to get this thing powered up and throwing roosts!!

Def diggin the stance on this ride!!

And it look like we got that the gravity thing is well handled. This is going to be a well handling and stable hot rod!!

Got Beef?? Love the tranny Rick!! Thanks buddy!!

Drive line should Take it!!

Great view too, feel kinda dirty looking at it..

Speed Controller and RX mounted to custom acrylic plate. ESC is screwed to plate. Didn't think servo tape was gonna hold it down well enough once this beast starts its beat down on planet earth,, lol

Its hard to see in this pic but if you look close you can see the custom cut 1/4" plate under the trans to raise the motor up high enough to clear the upper link mount under the motor end.

And finally a full compression shot of the panhard link. I couldn't be more happy with it if I hadn't built it myself!! Flat 16 gauge sheet, bent, hammered, drilled and filed to create the mount and it only took me about 45 minutes!! Perfect!!

Too bad about the crappy iPhone Pics!! lol

Until next time guys!! hopefully I will have a video by then!!

I'm tired, gonna go crawl in to bed next to my wife 'night guys!

C-ya!!

looks awesome man. that's gonna be a sweet rig out there!

so, i know you are only using an iphone, but can you get a closer pic of the panhard mount. i have seen how Bart has made them from the stock control arms, but i cant see how you incorporated the metal into it? did you just bend it around the control arm stub that you have there?

EDIT: actually i think i see now, you just kinda made a u channel and bolted that to the axle, and arent using any of the stock control arm protrusion at all.

Micro-update,

We Have Power!! Ran it for a few minutes yesterday on a 2 cell 5000mAh battery I have for one of my short course trucks. No so impressive unless the ECS is not in the correct mode. I will be checking that out tonight. But it have power and moves under its own juice. My LHS has 2 3s 65c 2200mAh batteries coming in for me on wednesday. Then we will see how much fun that will be!!

Seconded. I just bought a Summit with a 1900kv setup in it... I ran it on twin 2s (to get 4s in total) and its totally insane. The tyres try to rip themselves off the rims and it can't get to top speed without getting out of control!

6s would be OTT but depends on how much is too much lol

It only weighs 6.9 lbs so its too light

Wicked fun

We will get some video up after "Battle grounds"
