| Re: Forced Wraith This truck was a collaborative effort between Crawler Innovations & Szczerba Built. It also uses many vendor parts & services from RCCrawler.com. The CI Forced Wraith rc rock crawler uses Kyosho Twin Force axles front and rear. The axles have many custom made parts in them. They have been narrowed for this project. The front housing is a modified RC4WD aluminum housing. The axles are geared with 4.30's. The transmission is Axial AX-10 based design, but none of it is Axial LOL. VP trans Case, Crawler Innovations 6mm chromemoly output shafts, RRP gears, BWD Motor Plate, etc. Geared 62/10 This truck as filmed in this video weighs 9 pounds 11 ounces. Build Thread Link: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/kyosh...ed-wraith.html The tires are 2.2 Pitbull Tire Rockbeast 2's that have been modified (cut n shut) to fit on 2.2/3.0 RC4WD aluminum bead lock rim. The foams are Crawler Innovations Deuce's Wild 2.2 Tall foams that have been modified to fit the 2.2/3.0 rim. It is a single stage foam designed to support heavy weight crawlers and is 100% water proof. Quite jealous. I remember when onespeeder built his twinforce super and used universals. He had 60*-70* turning with rear steer. |

It's been a while since an update. This truck was built with a plastic case transmission and a plastic spur gear. With the release of the axial yeti, new upgrades mean new possibilities. The yeti steel spur gear fits the scx slipper assembly: Thank you to Vanquish Products for the new transmission case. Update; the Forced Wraith is still going strong. The brute strength of this rig has held up to Gavin and miles of drive time. It's Gavin's class 3 competition rig and he enjoys it. ETXRCC is taking December off from competitions and we are using the down time for maintenance. Gavin had been asking for a motor and possible gearing change. He wanted more low speed crawlability and was willing to give up a little top speed as well. Out with the old 3500KV set up and in with a Tekin 2400KV Pro4. I went ahead and added a super shafty top shaft with a RRP 56T spur gear assembly with an 11t pinion, both 32pitch. ..Uploaded from the lab @ the C.I. Compound... |

This rig is just too cool. Random question, you have any other HPI pinions around that may have a part number? Looking for some way to overdrive the front axle in my build as well. What Universals did you end up swapping into this? I wish you could still find those knuckles somewhere, super cool setup. Wes |
