Re: Ulfberht Barbarian Totally Awesome ! as for the body, Long e-maxx with GunSlinger livery |
Re: Ulfberht Barbarian awesome |
Re: Ulfberht Barbarian VERY cool. I like it a lot"thumbsup" |
Re: Ulfberht Barbarian Thanks guys. Just waitin on parts to show up. This site is full of inspiration. |
Re: Ulfberht Barbarian This looks killer! As for the locked axles, what do you use? (has some bad experiences with JB weld and stock diffs  ) Jon |
Re: Ulfberht Barbarian Just jb weld for now. I haven't had any problems with using jb weld. I would use a locker but they are hard to get a hold of. Supershafty used to have them. Same with maximizer products. Everyone wants to reinvent the wheel with a locker. |
Re: Ulfberht Barbarian My current progress. I need to mod the motor plate to allow the motor to come down. Waiting for shorter spacers to move the motor and plate closer to the spur gear. I used 3/4 inch delrin plate to make new trans mounts(to fix extreme drive shaft angle). I used DLux shock pivot balls on aluminum savage 21 shocks. I got the wiring done just waiting for a receiver box. Can't wait to hunt some clod's or txt's! http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...3712-51175.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...3712-51177.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...3712-51176.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...3712-51179.jpg http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...3712-51178.jpg |
Re: Ulfberht Barbarian Yep, that is sharp. What cover are you thinking? |
Re: Ulfberht Barbarian I don't know yet. I have a Ramcharger body for posing and a 66 F100 probably for bashing. I would like a Dodge but there's not much out there. Kyosho needs something like this. |
Re: Ulfberht Barbarian A power wagon would be sick. Betty bodies are getting hard to find, but would look great. |
Re: Ulfberht Barbarian this is a really awesome build sir. well done, nice and tidy. |
Re: Ulfberht Barbarian Thanks. I'm going for a clean look. Also I didn't want a bunch of one off parts. This way I can bash and break stuff and be back up and running fast. I found a betty body on sleybay its $55 with $23 shipping(no thanks). If the kershaw designs 700 blows I will go with a traxxas 775. Kershaws stuff is junk. |
Your tuck is coming along nicely. Nice selectin of parts |
Re: Ulfberht Barbarian Got my body done. Its a Proline '66 Ford F-100 for a Traxxas Slash. The wide stance looks bad ass to me at least. May have to trim the wheel wells a little. I would like to make a sponsor plate for the chassis. I'm waiting for the receiver box to come and then its out to play. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...3712-51378.jpghttp://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...3712-51379.jpghttp://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...3712-51387.jpghttp://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...3712-51386.jpghttp://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...3712-51385.jpghttp://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...3712-51384.jpghttp://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...3712-51383.jpghttp://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...3712-51382.jpghttp://www.rccrawler.com/forum/membe...3712-51390.jpg |

Re: Ulfberht Barbarian Nice choice on the body, it looks really good on there. What are the first set of tires. |
Re: Ulfberht Barbarian The first tires are imex rc road dawgs with rc4wd clod foams and ofna pirate wheels. I feel like a kid waiting for Xmas I cant wait to run this thing. |
