Default SuperShafty - Start Making Kyosho Parts Again

I've seen several posts from different places, and even ran into one tonight.

Start making the parts again, I'm tired of seeing your site be out of stock on everything for the MF/TF/FO axles.

You own it, so stock it. I don't have the time or ability to make some of these parts myself.

Everything on this page - Kyosho Axle Mods - Super Shafty - is out of stock except the gift cards and the revo rod ends.

Just sayin.

Doesn't seem to be just supershafty, I'm putting together a set of axles and it just seems to be a shit show of discontinued parts. It'll be worth it when it's done though, these axles are awesome.

Very true on the parts. I finally after months of looking, begging an pleading have got enough parts to finish mine and have some spares. Due to the scarcity of aftermarket parts these will likely be my last ones. Shame because i read such great things about them

My Twin Force Axles
These axles seem to be gaining in popularity again and with the wealth of knowledge albeit outdated, it helped me a ton in building mine. The Driveshaft’s in CVD or Universal form are the hardest part about deciding to use these axles. One thing I hate when trying to do a mod or research info is the lack of Part Numbers or links to info. If you are going to build these axles you will more than likely be doing some research on you own. I know I did and was confused at the beginning with what worked and what didn’t. While my list is not extensive, it will help some I am sure. I don’t know it all and I am not a Twin Force Axle guru but I have lots of PN’s on items that did and did not work and links to them so if you are in need of anything just ask. This Hobby is all about sharing knowledge so ask away.

Front Axle Housing:
Standard Housing
RC4WD Aluminum Front Hub Carriers
Stock Kyosho Knuckles, FE Bearings, Bushings etc.
On Axle Servo Mount & 4-Link Fin (Thanks YotaChump)
Super Shafty ?? 4 Link Tube Mounts (Thanks YotaChump)
Custom 3/16” Drag and Tie Rod w/Revo Rod Ends (Need to Make)
All 3mm Hex hardware
Front Drivetrain:
Long Side - Kyosho Rear Center Universal Shaft (113mm) (ST-R) PN KYOIFW160 w/ Kyosho Heavy Duty Front or Rear Universal Shafts Stub Axle portion PN KYOIF482
Short Side - SWorkz S350T CVD – 86mm PN SWX-330484 **
Long Side - Losi LST XXL Axles Long and Short Side – PN LOSB3522
HPI Bullet Proof Diff Bevel Gear Set 29T/9T – PN 102692
CDW Billet Spool/Locker (Thanks YotaChump)
Axial yeti XL 17mm Hex – PN AX31255
Fast Eddy Bearings
Diffs Shimmed Correctly
** Had to open up the pin slot to accommodate the Losi 3mm Pin

Rear Axle Housing:
Standard Housing
Super Shafty Long and Short Rear Lockouts (Thanks YotaChump)
Stock Kyosho Knuckles, FE Bearings, Bushings etc.
Freestyle RC Pumpkin 4-Link Mount
Freestyle RC 4 Link Tube Mounts
All 3mm Hex hardware
** Need to open up the links so i can slide them farther onto the tube.
Rear Drivetrain:
Long Side – Stock Kyosho Swing Shaft - 114mm PN KYOMA024
Short Side – Stock Kyosho Swing Shaft - 84mm PN KYOMA081
HPI Bullet Proof Diff Bevel Gear Set 29T/9T – PN 102692
Super Shafty Locker
Kyosho 17mm Extended Hex – PN KYO33004B
Fast Eddy Bearings
Diffs Shimmed Correctly

** If you are going to use an axle mounted servo i would use the Rear Carriers since it lines up the old shock mount thingy in a non-clocked position. No reason other than looks IMO.

Yeah I gave up asking about it. These trucks are what put supershafty on the map. Now no one cares because the weak axial wraith axles are out. Try running 6s through an axial ar60.

That's great news. You make them, I'll buy them. Can I put my prang wheels on the list too?

Might i suggest a custom axle service for CVD's and Universals parting with Dlux or ?? Not looking forward to brazing mine together and would pony up for that service.

hey man.

hoping to get prangs going this winter

so custom length services built from dlux axles? that could be an option.

service is something the shop is gearing up for this winter

Awesome I might be done by then.

I pieced together CVD's and Uni's from different MFG's like Losi, HPI, Kyosho and Sworx. Driving pins out is no big deal but most of the shafts are only like 3.5mm even though they came from 1/8 buggies. 6mm would make me comfortable wedging my 15lb Jeep and 4S power. Details for another day.

EXACTLY what I was hoping for! The FO-XX is fun, but it needs to be 4linked, locked, and geared down on a different chassis....

There are some seriously sick options for these axles. Parts are out there if you dig enough. A friend started gathering parts and has all the normal 4 link parts from freestyle rc and supershafty, hypoid cut HD gears and a couple sets of ofna cv axles. I keep trying to talk myself into buying them.

A c hub that is compatible with dlux knuckles would be fully retarded and coupled with axles capable of good steering angles would be over the top.

Was in the same boat. I got lucky a found some after a long long search. For a crawler I like the Delrin due to it of course being slippery. An upgrade option for Long and short sides in 7075 would be nice.

Not 100% yet. There are certain manufacturers that listen to the people!!

For the time being though, most stuff is out of stock. I'm holding out hope though.

we like money, but other people do to. Im sure you can understand its not easy to make parts for a truck when there is not a big market.

i'd stay away from naming anything supershaftyII. i'm sure you meant that as a joke, but i take it very seriously.

good things are coming down the pipe guys
