| Does anyone else make a twin force spool?
I have contacted both Vertigo Performance and RC Alloys and neither one have any twin/mad force spools in stock. It didn't sound like they were going to get anymore either. I tried to find a locker for an eighth scale buggy and didn't have much luck with that. Does anyone else sell these things or will I have to just make my own? It's not that I can't make them, but I only have a couple weeks before Easter jeep safari and I need to get my 1:1 rig working too. |

IMHO if you are not going to get the RC Alloys version, then just JB weld. Seems like the big hunk of alum like the Maximizer version should be about the same weight as stock + JB weld. Then again, if you ever plan on un-locking then definetely seek out a drop in piece. Another concern I have is can you change out the ring gear once you have JB welded Too late for me in any case |

The cheapest way to lock the diffs is CA glue. I lock all mine with CA glue now. If you do plan on unlocking it for some reason,a spool or drop in would be best. The only reason I can see a crawler would want to be able to remove it is if you wanted the option of changing the ring and pinion gear ratio. Quote:

I found lots of maximizer savage lockers on the bay, but maximizer lists a different part number for them as opposed to the TF locker. Anyone know the difference? Will the savage locker fit? I've got a chunk of aluminum that I could make my own from, but I have a huge project due and I am running out of time before Jeep Safari. |

Squirt in some silicone. That might take up some of the impact caused by the slop.
