I am brand new to crawling and just ordered a rock force. I am seeking suggestions for electronics, motor, ESC and servo. Keep in mind that I am sure I will be adding the high speed worm gears and DIG. I will probably be going with the Mamba MAX ESC unless I hear reasons not to. Thanks in advance for all your suggestions.

The Mamba Max is a great starting point. You might want to watch this forum for a few days as some testing of electronics goes on, it might prove helpful to you. - David

I just recently got my Rock Force together and am using a Team Orion 13.5 brushless motor, a Novak XBR ESC and stock gearing. So far the motor and ESC have been just slightly warm after about 20 minutes of driving in my house.

well.. i've been out of 1/10 RC for almost 4yrs now.. has been a fan of Kyosho since day 1 i started RC and now..with the rock force, im getting all crazy again! btw.. i have the TXT (stock) for the past 4yrs and i would say that's my first tast of rock crawling. with the Rock force, it's a total different animal then. the chassis and design is sweet! my question is. im trying to keep this hobby at minimal cost (trying to im in Tokyo, been looking around for some transmitter/receiver/servo/motor combo. as for the transmitter, im considering the Airtronics Sanwa MX3 2.4GHz, which comes with receiver, and brushles motor as well. Question Would you guys think this particular brushless motor is suitable for Rock Force? should i go for a standard brushed motor instead? appeciate for any given advice. cheers!
