For regular crawling the 2075 should be fine. I'm running one in my x-trail and it's got just enough power for most situations. In some situations it will just stall out though and since the splines are plastic you risk stripping them, especially during tumbles. I run the 5955tg in my comp rigs and it's perfect. I think some of the Hitecs are water resistant, but I'm not about to test that on a $100 servo. Funny thing is that I robbed the 5955s out of my FLM Savages for my crawlers. Needless to say, my Savage doesn't turn so well now with a 190oz servo. :-( Once the 7950 comes out (400oz!) the 5955s can go back in the Savages. The XL-5 should be fine in the RF. The only things that suck are the 8.4v limit and having to double pump for reverse.

So you intend to run your new $400 Rock Force in water? Truth be told, the Traxxas stuff is crap for crawling. Servo is weak, and double pump reverse is a TERRIBLE thing.

Quality electronics will last you through several rigs if you take care of your stuff. EeePee was kind of curt but very accurate. Put the best electronics in your rig, that you can afford. You won't be sorry in the end. - David
