The guys came around for a play in the backyard yesterday,so i thought i better get the rockforce going. Its just stock out of the box, tamiya standard 27t motor , novak rooster ESC , stock gearing, stock tires and wheels bar fitting some beadlocks to the outside, and some weight in the front wheels, how much ???? didnt have scales so dont know. This thing is great, infact id say its awsome, with some tuning and decent tires and dig ,it,ll be a force to be recond with. KYOSHO , ,well done i love this thing!!!

Hows it. A little update, I fitted a 82 spur and 24t pinion ,axle disconnect, and an integry 55t motor, heaps better ,doesnt get hot. The batterys last longer, about double the run time over the 27t and stock gears. Still waiting for highspeed worms and another spur and pinion!:-( But the best improvement is the LOSI CLAWS,even there on standard wheels with the outer beads cutoff and some beadlocks glued on,and are TOO wide ,it is 100% better. I love this thing!!!!! Cheers Kyosho.

Allright,i dont want to go brushless,or 3s lipo, costs way to much down here in nz $300 nz 4 a mamba !!!. So what do you guys recon for a motor?,I dont want tire smoking speed, just a bit of speed and decent run time. Hopefully ill get my HS gears one day and 25t pinion and other spurs. I got a 55t and 24t pinion and an 84 spur at the moment, its a bit slow (DUH) and will occationally stall out! Would a say 23t motor be better, more RPMs to overcome the wormdrive? Oh yeah just useing 7 cell nimh(yeah i know old tech) Cheers.

Cheers guys, Ive ordered high speed gears through local kyosho agent but still waiting! So a 55t and the right gearing will work, cool . Ive got a 45t aswell so can try that as well. We have both dewalt and milwalkeedown here so thats a possibity ,volt up. I got a rooster so will have to use a different ESC ,cool another thing to find? ,neah its all good. So the answer is to volt up and gearing! CHEERS

Hows it, The rooster CE is only rated at 7 cell/2s lipo ,then again i have run one on 8 cell AA and it went ok, i got a spare plain rooster so could try volting it up,and see how long it will last(cool magic smoke). So either way im going to need a new speedy. But ill certenly check out the a123 drill packs , kool. cheers again.

I was going to wait till i got the HS gears and go from there.Im quite happy with 7cell nimh becides the weight issue.I got a 2.2 clod and that goes great on 7cell,plus i got 4 crawlers all up with roosters crawlers. I think its super low gearing of the worm gears, you over gear especieally the pinion, puting to much load on the motors(dont quote me ,im only a plumber LOL)cuasing stall. Bikkygoat,i checked up on making a123 packs out of drill packs , not bad ,you can quite a few rc battery packs, sweeet. So im patiently waiting for the gears
