So know that you guy have been running these HSG for a a little while do you still feel that it is a must. I did run this truck this weekend with some pretty serious crawlers every one was fast. I thought crawling is slow. I still have the stock gears in Last edited by saydee1800; 01-21-2009 at 03:53 PM.

well thats a good one crawl=slow. sound good in theory but in comp crawling wheelspeed is just as important as slow crawlability.i think the hsg's are neccesary for a u.s. comp crawler. in low traction situations, it is the wheelspeed that helps you get through it , also wheelspeed is important for dig and rollover recovery. i personally like wheelspeed .not ludicris speed but pleanty on tap. but the slow , controllable speed is what gets you yhrough most obsticals. hope this help . chime in if you can elaborate more.

some wheelspeed is needed from time to time on given situations. i do like the crawl mode more to enjoy how the rig gets going but some obstacles need a fair amount of wheelspin to get over .
