Hi guys. Just a general question. How smooth are your oil shocks? I am playing around with mine and I feel that they are a bit squeashy or shall I say stiicky?. I tried my best to build them with no air bubbles inside and really full of oil, but somehow...there is a little squeaking sound when you compress them. Is this normal? Thanks.

It kinda sounds like you have some air bubbles in the shocks. That "squishing" noise is usually the bubbles passing past the piston. How I build mine: - I filled the shock half way then cycled the piston a couple of times to get the air our from under the piston. - then fill the shock until it is 1/8 from the top. - Slowly push the piston up 1/4 inch - Place the bladder on top of the shock. - Carefully pull the piston down creating a slight vacuum on the bladder then put the cap on. You might try taking the cap off, letting them sit for a while. Then lightly "flick" the shock body to coax the air bubbles up. Reseal and go. - David

have 30wt on the shocks and shaved as per the book, no squishing sounds. ive been toying with putting the t-maxx stock springs on there since i still have them from swapping to big bores on the old truck and see how it goes. unless somebody has done it and save me some time

Thanks guys. Its builder error. Took the caps off and found some tiny air bubbles. I guess I am in a hurry to finish them. Wish I sis the drill a hole mod instead of shaving. Anyways, it is all good. They are now smooth and no noise. David, the tip is helpful.
