everyone says crawling is about torque not speed - hence the name lol but i was wonting to make a quick crawler for slightly smaller rocks so you can just try and run at those rocks... i was wondering if anyone has ever tried this and what would be required as i am looking for a crawler but something a bit different what gave me this idea was in some bashing videos there is an rc with a yellow shell that looks stockish but just runs around the rocks - i think its 1/18 or something tho

i had twin 14's in my crawler origanly with 9t pinions and that thing was ridiculous and cool to drive cause it did wheelies on command but for like super hardcore crawlin your gunna want to run lathes but the big motors are cool cause instead of like slowly rolling over something you can like punch it and hop right over it

Better be ready to buy replacement parts. If you try and hit things at speed, your going to break stuff quick. I still have the stock motors in my twin, and I made adapters so I can run in either 7.2v. or 14.4v., Single or dual batteries and can wire the motors in either series or parallel. I can crawl and get about 45 minute run times (Though I don't have the control I'd like, needs to be slower) or have 10 minute runtimes but be hella fast. I am about to convert to 4 links, revo shafts, and 4ws so the 14.4 will probably not get used except rare ocsassions.

My .02, but if you want something tuff and that can do what you want. I`d say X Factor. Put some kong sized tires on it, and tuffen up the rear driveshaft, and lock up the axels and your about ready to go. (Aside from servo, ec.)
