Default Scale Twin Force-based Bronco Buildup

I began my first crawler/trail rig project last night. I am going to use the HPI bronco body with the new All-T 2.2's and stampede wheels. I mocked up the body and tires and it looks really scale. To get a nice scale width, the twin force axle housings will be narrowed to their limits. I'm still pondering whether to go with a simple custom aluminum frame or go full tuber. I'll try to post some pics tonight.

Here's my pictures:

I'm using the stock twin force frame just for mock-up. I've decided to build a custom aluminum frame as phase one. It may evolve into a tuber later on.

Tonight I reduced the ends of the twin force pinion shafts from 8mm to 6mm, ground opposing flats and drilled a 2.5mm hole. Now maxx driveshafts bolt right up. It was a real pain, but turned out real good. I added a few pics to the gallery too.

What did you use to turn down the shaft?

I used a belt sander, dremel, and a file. I pretty much held the pinion inside one of it's bearings and let it spin against the belt to keep the grind somewhat symetrial.
